I would like to know what are the benefits of being a mod compared to the standard NG User. Hope you don't mind responding to my question.

Locking, banning, and posting in the Mod forum.
Ability to post never ending spam topics about your crappy latin songs then ban people who don't enjoy them.
I'm looking at you maus

Aww, poor baby :'(
You get to ban people for spamming or being abusive.
Like...say if I were to call you a big fucking rump bumping cock sucking faggot who enjoys jerking off his dog...I'd probably get banned.

From what I know, Mods have their own fourms on Newgrounds. They can lock, unlock, ban, unban, and delete threads. They are very powerful users, but if you don't break the rule, then they won't hurt you. MOST of them are nice.

Being a Moderator isn't really better, than just being a regular. It's actually a job. unlike most of the users on this site seem to think... it's not a status symbol either.
Benefits would be closer contact to the rest of the Administration. Sometimes getting first hand information about changes in the site, the ability to give input, and be heard faster.
Other than that, I can't really think of much else.

None of which any of you can do, that posted in this thread...
.
PS The "secret forums" aren't a big deal either... the only one that really gets used is the BBS Moderators Lounge. There are two others... but they are quiet usually.
Double posting, unlocking, deleting posts, and posting giant images.

I have seen plenty of non mods double post, only NG staff can post the giant images.
They can administrate, view ban/lock/post logs, delete posts, check if a user is banned, double post, and see one additional forum.
And it's not that fun, because the more power the more work and weight on your back, aided by the daily AIM "OMG UR A MOD RIT!?! I WANNA B UR FRIEND!! DOS THAT HELP M GET PROMONTD?!!"
I'd know, I was a mod on different forums before :|
Mod orgies, phat salary, and I get to touch Tom.
how much do mods get paid anyway? enough to live on?

The BBS Moderator's Lounge, Review Moderator's Lounge and the Moderation Lounge.
Former iron fist mod of the NG Featureless Chat from May 23, 2012 to May 4, 2014.

Thats the exact reason you will never be one.

I missed the required ban quota for this month, so I don't get the bonus. It's going to be tight, have had a lot of bills coming in. Life's a bitch.
how did you guys become mods? did you save tom from a burning building? chew food for him? ect

Damn... that's a bitch. Why didn't you just post a couple spam traps with an alt? Then ban everyone who posted in the spam thread. That's what I do when I'm tight on my quota.
This is a song about death. It's on mandolin.
Hate is the first step to all solutions.
You will not end bigotry until you learn to hate it.
They get to laugh at nasty emails sent to them by idiots. And a swish @newgrounds.com email address. And locking, banning, commanding respect, and posting in the mod forum (which, in reality, is probably a pretty shitty forum).
Some of them complain. It would probably distance you from the NG community.

My only real concern here has been flash anyway, so if someone wants to act differently to me because I'm a mod they can go fuck themselves

10.69 per hour fixed rate. $.25 for locking or deleteing thread. $.75 for banning.
Yes I think suicide is funny and I am sick of pretending its not.

Ugh! I'd HATE to see what the BBS would be like if the mods actually got paid for banning people.
You bet they'd ban your for every single post that even slightly touches the "grey" area to get an excuse. And people like Bedn would have no use for their "veteran status", since the mods would ban them just to get some extra. =P

It's nice to be able to ban someone who gets on your nerves, but suddenly people treat you like you're an asshole all because you're a mod. People claim you've changed, but it's actually them who has changed.
I'm very pleased and honored to be a mod, but it comes with a lot of responsibility.

Anyway, you always get mad love from Greenie if it means anything.

Spiderman was gimp as well, don't forget that. A red and blue, jizz flingin' gimp.
"spiderman! spiderman! I'm gonna get some cider man!".

Damn I've only been here for a few months and I already figured that out. And you've been here for about 3 years. That says alot about you. And me. I think.
Anyhow, wouldn't it be cool if somebody was just turned into a mod, then went on a mod rampage and locked everything, banned everybody, and spammed the forum? The Tom would be banned and couldn't do anything. The next day he'd be killed. lol. I know that the Admin can't be locked, nor the mods but the idea just came across my head. And it would be kind of cool because we'd all get alts and then somebody who knew where he lived would kill him.
