Thanx for the concern of us floridiots Wade. The hurricane was pretty scary and it just grazed us. Its amazing how many morons decided to stay instead of evacuate when it hit. Hopefully the next few will miss us again. I am a new member on NG but ive visited frequently for about a year now and i want to learn flash and hopefully it wont take long. Anyways thanx for lookin out.

Hurricanes (from what I understand, I haven't experienced one personally) is like a big ass thunderstorm that rotates and it's not the hurricane itself that does the damage it's the wind or tornadoes it creates. A Hurricane is like a thunderstorm that gets it's energy from the ocean (or something like that). If I got it wrong, don't bother correcting me personally because I won't care and I'm not a weather girl.

Dont know as of yet where earl is plannen on going. Florida, lousiana or TX, its still to early to see. We can guess and all, but itll take some time to figure out where its gonna head.. Hope its not here in TX! Even tho its like bad to wish on other people, i dont want it hitting my area.

Hurricane Charley missed my city, Miami, by 130 Miles. We were lucky, but we weren't lucky when Hurricane Andrew hit 12 Years ago here...
I'm in daytona beach florida and the place is a whole frikin mess we lost power everywhere and traffic lights got torn off thier lines.
my house for some reason is the only one with power out of my whole neighborhood (no we dont have a generator).

I was supposed to get anywhere from 6 to 8 inches of rain from hurricane charlie. Or at the time trpoical storm charlie. But we lucked out and I think it moved east of us. We still got a good 1 or 2 inches. Suprised it went east of me (I think it was east) because I'm in south east pennsylvania. Like all the way south east.
