I'm mostly talking about deviantArt, I'm still sour about the AI crap flood, for me it was the final nail in the coffin after the years of decline, place is full of scammers, thieves, spambots and now this. At this point that place feels like an abandoned crack den plastered with ads for pawn shops and strip clubs, with the occasional hobo taking a crap inside every other day.

You needed an account to enable A filters but direct links to A content worked when the registration gate wasn't in place. You might have tried while the gate was in place.

Here's another question then... If we offered an account-level option to blur adult thumbnails, would you want them only blurred on the front page but not on the hub pages, or would you be ok with them being blurred everywhere? Wonder if we would need it to be granular, like:

1) Don't Blur Adult Thumbnails
2) Blur Adult Thumbnails Everywhere
3) Blur Adult Thumbnails on Front Page Only

This is exactly how I feel about having to crop 'mature' thumbnails with artistic nudity in them. Yes, I get it, 99% of the mature-rated section is oversexualized pin-ups (this is why we can't have nice things), but some of us don't include nudity simply to be a pervert, unless you want to tell me that classic Greek art is porn.

I essentially have to butcher the thumbnail of some images to comply with the current rules, and these days thumbnail presentation is everything. If it doesn't immediately catch someone's eye they're going to scroll past it like it doesn't exist, and tightly cropped thumbnails are a great way to have that happen.
