Messy AF Spyke but I kinda like it, took some inspiration from Disco elysium Stil need to do a proper study of the game's art but this is a start. I'm not gonna post this since this is a bit messier than I thought it would turn out. But, I still do want to refine this style a bit. I don't know what do you guys think? (Hell, the struggle of doing it is exactly what I’m trying to solve with my daily sketches. Might be something for you to try as well, if you can convince yourself that the quality of the sketch line art doesn’t matter.)

Working on a DedF1sh wip for a Twitter DTIYS thing going on. Rough sketch so far gonna fix it up and work on the lineart and background soon. This already looks way better than the first time I ever drew her, which is definitely some great motivation to keep going.

Also small update on the Wayne piece one of my online friends says he looks like a Butch lesbian. Which got me fucking laughing but I love it lol

Drawing My own interpretation of Mr.Grizz

Never really was that wowed by him in the story mode of Splatoon 3. And his design is kinda meh to me. I understand what they were going for. The fandom however has many different ways they draw the ol bear, and their own interpretations, and I wanted to throw my hat in the ringer.

Now, I’m kinda going for Kingpin vibes given that he’s basically an money hungry (Or rather Salmon Eggs in this case) Capitalist, who doesn’t really care about the safety of his own employees. Basically I kinda wanna show off more of the capital corruption Grizz has.

Heres my sketch of him so far, and yes my dumbass is gonna do a shit ton of cross hatching because I hate myself.

And here is his official design. Once I’m done drawing my own design I’ll do a full comparison of both designs.

Saw the new trailer for Silent hill 2 remake, I have very mixed opinions on it, but it made me want to do a quick sketch of James. Now that I think about it this is definitely my first time ever drawing him now

Ok it’s nearly 4AM and I have decided I’m done with this piece and also I made a decision to not make this a full post here. Mainly because I hate it, and I know I can do way better. I’m gonna be so honest I’m having major trouble actually liking my own pieces again, I think I’ve come back to hating on my art and my own “Style”. A pattern I’ve noticed is that the sketch and lineart look decent but everything falls apart when it comes to colors and my attempt at rendering. At this point it’s becoming really frustrating trying to figure out how I want to color, and what I want to achieve with it. Anyways rant aside I need to really study on colors and figure out a way to render things, but before I go. Here is the bear himself.

I actually like this one, but yeah, feel free to learn and practice with the color stuff if it’ll make you feel more confident with your art! Feel free to send me what you learn as well, I could always use pointers ^_^’
