Finally decided to start my own lil shitty art thread since I think it would be useful and fun to document my artwork, and seeing what you guys think. I will admit that my art has been pretty stale for some time. So I'm hoping you guys (if you want) can give me some tips and critique my stuff.

Here's one of my earlier pieces. It's a drawing of the boss, Swine Prince, from the game Darkest dungeon. I made it on March 27th of this year, and while at the time I was quite proud of it I see how amateurish the drawing is. Perhaps I'll redraw it sometime soon.

Another older piece and yet again another Darkest dungeon fanart. I already posted it here on NG, but I think this should also be in the thread. I will say this is one my better pieces from that time period especially since I still suck at drawing with pencils. This was originally uploaded on, April 26 on my Instagram.

Oh boy this one is rough but anyways I drew some lil pencil sketches of the Omen Killer, and the Stone imps from EldenRing. And yep I'm definitely gonna do redraw of this. It was originally made on, April 28. And yes I truly don't know how to take pictures.

Next up on some old art here's some OFF fanart of Dedan I drew this guy while I was sick with Covid, so just doing a lil drawing during that time was pretty fun and pretty motivating.

This was a weird wip I never finished of a bird thing with mushrooms and arms coming out of it's eyes. This was also one of the rare times where I actually attempted to put color in my drawing. It was made on, May 20th and in the wise words of what my little sister said "It looks like a coochie. " .... Apparently

We're coming up to the end of my old art, thank God. Anyways here's the drawing of my profile pic Vicar Amelia from Bloodborne. Originally made on June 16.

Some more Bloodborne fanart, specifically of my favorite character Eileen the crow. Fun fact I found some older art that I did her and decided to redraw it even though the current redraw definitely needs some work. First image was made on June 26, and the 2nd image was made on March 31st, 2020.

The last of the Bloodborne Fanart with a wonky drawing of the Orphan of Kos. Not exactly the best at drawing faces but I don't think it's too bad tho. Made on June 27th

Current Wip of my take on a fallout 3 death claw hopefully I'll have some time to add some color to it. But for now here ya go.

Made this lad for the 2022 creature Collab, and I'm very proud of it. Of course it's not perfect but I will say this is probably one of my favorite drawings to date.

Some late night sketches I did last night. First one is some random ass generic warrior dude. I kinda like the sketch maybe I'll actually finish it and stuff. I don't know what do you guys think?

Also 2nd pic is a rough lil sketch of the beheaded from dead cells. Trying to find a way to draw the ol hothead. Cause I do eventually want to draw some Fanart of the game :)

Tried something a bit different today. A few days ago I did a little ink sketch of Ten Piedad from the Blasphemous, and I thought "hmm I should scan this and color it digitally with my mouse" yeah turns out using mouse for digital art kinda suck ass. Also coloring the sketch made me realize that I really need to brush up on my coloring skills and actual know how lighting works. But, I will say that despite it looking kinda shitty I lowkey kinda do like it. Anyways if you guys have any tips at all when it comes to coloring stuff digitally I would greatly appreciate it.

Also in other news I've been thinking of getting a drawing tablet, so if you guys have any recommendations feel free to post and stuff

XP-Pen Star G430S, if you're looking for the cheapest and most useful. More durable and cheaper than Wacom, idk how it stacks up to Intuos but I vaguely remember a comparison article saying their tablet of the same xtra-smol size has 1/4th the pen pressure sensitivity levels. My friend who draws as a hobby has used one from 10 years ago to now, no problem, and I've been using mine regularly for about 6 months now with no hitches.

If you're not a poor lowlife like me, then uh, get an integrated display into yer tablet, bet you won't.

Here's a rough pencil sketch of an oni. At first I just wanted to draw the head then I thought "Well it looks kinda weird as a head" then try to add a body. I kinda like it tho to be honest. So I'm probably gonna clean up the sketch add more details and shit, and ink it. I don't know if I'm gonna color it digitally I haven't decided yet

Progress on the sketch so far it's starting to look kinda decent now. Also I felt that the background was too plain so I drew some skulls , not sure if I like the addition but I'm just gonna roll with it.

Also here's my favorite skull I drew lol.

God Damm finally got done with this. Took way longer than it should have. Anyways I think drawing is a big improvement over my last one of Ten Piedad, but still I'm not exactly too crazy about it. Background still looks pretty bland, also the hands just look really wonky. Funnily enough tho my favorite thing about the drawing are the goddamm skulls, and they're not even the main focus of the piece. So yeah I'm gonna post the finished version in a couple of mins probably

Was pretty bored so I wanted to try some pixel art. I did make some pixel art sometime last year because of my game dev class, but they were pretty shitty. But, I figure I should try again after all I do have some ideas for some projects so I feel learning pixel art, digital art, and music (oof really working on that haha), would be pretty beneficial. Anyways enough of me rambling on here's a basic bird skull I did with my mouse on Piskel.

Just recently got a drawing tablet and damm it feels so weird and different. I did a warm up sketch of a goat skull cause apparently that's the one thing I can never fail to draw. Also put some flat colors on it, and I don't know if it's me but I feel like this drawing looks more cartoony than my usual stuff, but it's probably cause I did use a basic brush on Krita. So, I probably need to find a brush more suited to me, and of course practice. Anyways if you guys have any advice when it comes to making the transition from traditional to digital, and just any other tips in general that would really help.

Alright I've been forcing myself to draw on my tablet in order to get used to it. And, after countless shitty doodles I have a decentish sketch of a squid head. The sketch is not done as I want to add some detail to the head, and I'm going to give this lad a pose then I'll do inks and the whole shebang. Probably make him like some mind flayer guy or a warlock character. Or. if I'm feeling goofy could also give him a buff body for shits and giggles. Also I should definitely make a background for this drawing so it can look good, and so the canvas won't feel too empty.
