Expect this to happen again and again when using non-free proprietary software.
Instead it is better to prefer using things which are free and open source software as they effectively can't be killed off, even if the original programmers stop maintaining them, as they can always be forked and the projects continued.
With Flash, the best we have are workarounds to try to get it working again, and still the unreasonable encumberance of the necessity to somehow obtain the no-longer sold and no-longer supported tools. There are ways to make Flash output without using Adobe's official tools, but all such ways seem to be inferior and with drawbacks of their own, but could be suitable in some cases.
Going forward, I hope everyone learns a valuable lesson of putting their time into learning and using free and open source programming languages and environments, and preferring those, instead of putting all of their eggs into proprietary software basket and hoping commercial company continues support indefinitely.
WOOOO!!!1! I will be so excited for this, and I already know the submissions will be amazing

Flash? How am I suppose to make something on a dead program?
Damn, can't wait to see some juicy shit! If you need a script for your animation or some dialogues lines for your game, hit me up!

People still make stuff for the Commodore 64 so no reason not to try with Flash!

No hard rule there. I'd say it has lower chances of winning, if something is truly great maybe we'll have a NSFW Award.
ActionScript 2 is what you should look into. 3 does not let u code objects
directly
Having an entire event dedicated to Flash is a dope idea and I commend Tom and the other NG dudes for making it happen. Flash deserves to be remembered for the impact it had.
This is great, I made a blog post about it! I also modified FlashProfessional to support Ruffle.
OH MAN
Flash 4 life!
I love playing these flash games tho!
I'm still waiting Ruffle to play .flv and .f4v files in the browser.
I missed out last year but I'm sure as hell participating in this one!

By makin' it in a copy of Flash you can get a hold of, in ActionScript 2, and posting it here under Ruffle emulation

I think Ruffle recently did get some video playing support!

I linked to a bunch of examples in this post, for reference!

Do your research and find out. Buddy you'll be surprise to know who still uses old flash. I made a collab part once, and all I had to do to be in was send in the file, I didn't make it because an older version of flash couldn't open it. This was Last year.

You can play the old Flash games in-browser if they are supported by Ruffle, which is most of the AS2 games at the moment. A lot of the Flash games are AS3, which will be supported in the future.
