It's really distracting.
HAHAHA! thank you, I didn't notice that. lending that ever helpful "fresh pair of eyes". The character is DEAD though, would that make a difference on where his head is now? but best of luck to you if you are entering!
It's a little bit messy, but here's my WIP. I'm pretty happy about it so far.
Ok, here's the deal..
I'm trying to figure out what to Draw in the background [in this blacksmith/workshop thing]. So I'm waiting for your suggestions.
-Thanks in advance!
Another update this time focused on the giant demon. I really like how his armor came out.
a little bit of background silhouette :)
Here is my W.I.P! I'm planning on having her as a teenage girl with a hood and and holding the axe
This is the wip, i've finished the real thing but not sure if i like it a whole lot but im happy to submit it
here is my current work, this is my first ever entry to any of the challenges of the month! good luck everyone!
It looks a bit funny at the moment but it's only because I haven't got the outfit sorted yet
I asked my family and friends to describe the person wielding the axe and they all responded with a big man who is extremely strong so naturally i decided to be a rebel and create the wielder of the axe to be an one armed little girl XD
wip two of my little bab XD i'm new to Photoshop and this is the first time iv ever used it and im also using a graphics tablet for the first time also. what category should i enter?
first test sketch for this cotm ...
really struggle to draw the axe =/
FINISHED PART 1
if anybody has a cool idea of how should put the two pictures together, feel free to share
Second wip - two of the paintings that will hopefully be hanging in the exhibition that is the idea behind my drawing

ps. My idea was that the main character was in a post apocalyptic robot world and that he needs to gather spare parts for his axe in order to keep it ready for battle, sounded pretty cool so just decided to go with it :)
anyway good luck!
okay, i've kinda completely changed my idea. Now i went with the beserker/ viking who 's fighting an army of frost skeletons either because he stole the axe and they woke up or because he needs to kill them and the axe is the only way how.
I don't know if it's a better story but i like the drawing and setting lot more! :)
Opinions?

Maybe change the angle of the second drawing so that you'll be looking over the girls shoulder into the book? And then draw a miniature version of the first drawing on the page? and maybe put the main first drawing in a dream bubble? :)
ok having a go with painting in the values, making progress and easing into it.
OMG this is freaking awesome!!!! Keep going!
