Let's see... If we don't go too strict we got: Germaine, Tankgirl, girly Catface(?), Bandage Girl, the Pink Castle Crasher, F-bot, Sera from Fallen Angel, Mrs Pennyfarts, the werewolf chick from Edd Egg and Marjorie from Salad Fingers (yeah, stretching it now).

Or the duckfaced emoticon in the lefttop corner of this post.

Newgrounds is quite a dickfest thinking about it.

not to mention that a good handful of us aren't SIMPLY IMPECCABLE enough of an artist (including myself) to draw something NOT newgrounds related and still get it in. You'll notice that some people are good enough to just draw whatever they want, and it will most certainly get in. However, this is not the case with a lot of us. This sudden new "rule" if you will has left a lot of us with a very short catalog.

For next year, I would make this very clear at the BEGINNING of the contest, y'know, before we all put hours of hard work into a piece only to find out that is is not suitable.

Unfortunately I missed this in zour first post, sorry about that. I decided I'm gonna make a Demon's Gem tribute since it kinda fits with my style anyway (also I really love that short). This right now is a quick sketch that I can draw the clean lineart over.

Let's hope this one will do a bit better.

Really tho, the idea is to have a pretty calendar. Just try again and improve if you don't think you'll get in. I rarely pick Pico, since there's so many more fun and original characters in history of Newgrounds to pick from. Make this pic in first place a pic you would draw.

Someone should draw Jerry Jackson..... just saying.

I was actually going to do this but I just... didn't.

Still nowhere near to be done, but you should all have a better idea of how it's coming along...

Ps: That is NOT the final Background colour. It's justa placeholder so that I can see what I am colouring.

Damn, alot of good entries for this so far. But, I gotta admit, Tom's right; there were alot of submissions that did phenominal in the ratings without using characters synonymous with the site.

If I could make a suggetion to anyone needing an idea: How about going for a picture of I-Bot. Unless I'm missing something, no-one's really put out an interpretation of what he looks like outside of his profile.

I think you are key-rect regarding Proper Raptors...the mini flash movie was hysterical. Your picture has the right feel so far....Maybe throw a limb or two into the mix or even have part of a dancer's tutu hanging off a bottom tooth....LOL

(I resized it to the specfications 3225 x 2400, so could anyone tell me if this is wrong? cause it looks a little wide, plus i dont think it helped being portrait rather than landscape.. mer)

Honestly, for as many things you did ugly, there's some real cool potential. I love the perspectives you are using and the extremely bright colours have a quality that would really add to everything if you improved a bit in linework and details.

Just don't fuck it up by squashing pictures and filtering them like how you submitted it as a valid entry. That seriously looks bad.

It needs to be landscape. If yours were to be used, as is, it wouldn't fit... and the squished one looks... well, squished.

Here's a tip: if it's not done at the required size/proportions/orientation... odds are it won't even be considered. So make sure it's right!!
