Happy belated Clock Day 2010 everyone! Check out the games, movies and art from this year. Next year will be the tenth anniversary of B and NG will have gone through some dramatic changes, so expect it to be amazing. If you ever wanted to make something for Clock Day, next year is the year.
September 22nd is the fourth Madness Day! This year we are welcoming Madness-themed movies, games, music, art and lit, with a bunch of prizes.
Game and movie submissions must feature non-commercial music, so your best bet is the Audio Portal. The Madness Music Contest thread will have fresh new stuff, while a search for madness will turn up a lot of classic gems. Cut them in on a percentage of earnings and link to their user pages from within the Flash if it's not too crowded! These submissions spread to other sites so it's nice for everyone to get cred.
Madness Day prizes are subject to increase / expand based on results, but the minimum prizes for the combined Movies and Games category will be:
1st: $1,000
2nd: $750
3rd: $500
4th: $250
5th-10th: $100
Best collaborative work resulting in a game or movie: $250 BONUS
Game and movie submissions must be posted on Madness Day, September 22nd. Music, Art and Literature can be posted any time between now and September 22nd and can also be used and credited within game and movie submissions.
We have set up individual threads for the other categories:
Music Thread (Prizes: $100, $40, $30)
Art Thread (Prizes: $100, $40, $30)
Lit Thread (Prizes: $100, $40, $30)
Be sure to tag your movies, games and art with both "MadnessDay2010" and "Madness". Include "MadnessDay2010" in your audio submission descriptions.
Murudai held a music contest here on NG and the result was eight songs from the Audio Portal being used in his Xbox Indie Game, Unplugged!
If you want to get involved in something else, smirkstudios is assembling a team to develop and pitch a cartoon series for television.
The entire month of October is our annual Halloween Jam! Submit your Halloween and/or Horror themed Movies, Games, Art, Audio and Literature during the month of October to be eligible for prizes. Movies, Games and Art should be tagged with "Halloween2010", Audio should contain "Halloween2010" in the description. We'll set up an official thread for literature at the start of October.
Halloween movies and games must include our Halloween Preloader and a link to the upcoming 2010 Halloween collection page. You also must avoid the use of commercial music; get permission from someone you know or make use of the Audio Portal and cut them in on a percentage of your earnings. It's also nice to link to them from the Flash so they get props when it turns up on other sites.
