MADNESS DAY 2010 ART CONTEST Discussion Thread

I am going to experiment and not have an [art] thread. Instead, simply post your finished work to the Art Portal and tag it with "MadnessDay2010" and "Madness". If people really miss having an [art] thread, I can still add one... We can discuss that here in the discussion thread!

The theme is anything and everything Madness. You should post your art any time between now and Madness Day on September 22nd. Submissions have the potential to become site skins and maybe even loader skins if they are amazing enough and early enough.

To have the potential to become a poster, your original art should be in a 2:3 aspect ratio (poster is 12x18" or 24x36" in extreme scenarios) and 300dpi, although you should probably submit a smaller version to NG.

2nd Place: $40
3rd Place: $30

It would be cool if when we post an art portal link it does the same as a movie or game. I think it'd be cool to see that thumbnail in the forums.

If you are starting a new topic you MUST start with a piece of your own original art. If you are looking for advice, please share your work as an example of what you are trying to accomplish.

Yes, your Madness Art can be used in Flash submissions as well.

I'm gonna come out of my peevish shell and actually submit something for this. I know I'm going to be blown out of the water by everyone else, but I've got a few sketches that I think are pretty solid.
