Built in wi-fi, quiet as a mouse, 250GB HD, and shipping now.
Imma get one once I got the money for it.
When all else fails, blame the casuals!

Unless they lowered its failure rate to at least half, I'm not interested.
Not backwards compatible for the previous external hard drives? Fuck that.

God, Microsoft knows how to make money.
More? I thought they announced it as the same price as the original.

Same price as the current Elite, but smaller, built-in wi-fi, lower failure rate, more usb slots....
Whats the problem?
More info. Definitely read if you're considering upgrading.
Here's my Dtoid account. And my Urban Terror ID is BenelliM4-Medic. And I know Travis Touchdown isn't a Capcom character, but I put him in anyway.
Just saw the Youtube video with them unboxing this at E3, kinda popped up out of nowhere. Only question is how am I supposed to get the stuff on my current hard-drive to the new one??
I'll probably get this if there's a deal where I can trade in my old Xbox, otherwise I don't really care.
The trick is to use the drugs once to get there, and maybe spend the next ten years trying to get back there without the drug.

If you buy the new one it comes with a transfer cable or you can buy one for $20.
I didn't realize the new 360 has 5 USB ports. Something tells me that was done to accommodate Rock Band 3 with the addition of a 5th instrument.
Anyway... Back on topic.
I think I'll only get the new 360 if my current one breaks or RRoDs. I don't see the point to spending another $300 on another 360 when I have a perfectly functioning one already.

That's like sarcastically commenting that the new model of any product contains features that should have existed to begin with.
I.E., you're a dickapotamus.

Oh man, the more I read about this, the more I want one. >:0
And I'm not even sure why, either. I have a perfectly fine XBox 360 already, in fact, it's a gen one model, so it's lucky to even still be alive!
I hope Game Stop or someplace does a trade - in deal that I might be able to afford. Does anyone know if they require a valid warranty to participate? The guy I bought mine from "voided" his warranty on several separate occasions, nothing really noticeable though.
Until you boot it up, that is.There's a blue internal light and the fans are a bit louder.

No. Because Rock Band 3 only supports 4 USB's, along with all other games.

I'm guessing it's still going to have a fat power brick, and it probably won't be as quiet as the PS3 Slim. At least they've had a go at sorting it out though.
As a PS3 fanboy I'll admit I'm looking foward to hearing some horror stories about them exploding to start rolling in. Did they bother to do anything to the controllers by the way? I could only be arsed to look at the pictures briefly.
TL;DR: Oh God, I bet Sony are shitting bricks over this! The PS3 Slim can't possibly compete with that!

There is still a power brick but it is A LOT smaller compared to the original Xbox 360. Especially compared to the launch Xbox 360.
As for it being quiet, it is on par with the PS3. Or at least the journalists have said so far. I'll be interested in seeing what the failure rate will be for this system. They already cut the warranty from 3 years to 1 so it should be a lot better already. They have already sold out at a lot of places.

Yeah, because Sony invented slim consoles.

Problem?
We don't know if it has less problems. You gotta wait and see if the new model is actually built to last. I'd expect it to though, if it gets failure issues again, they will become the laughingstock of hardware.
I was really expecting a slot loading DVD drive though, not a damn disc tray.
