Those things are so fucking rare it boggles my mind.
I'm not getting one off Ebay because I don't trust it, I want a brand new one and I've searched stores everywhere and they all sell Super Elites for the same price as an Xbox Slim.
So what do I do? Buy an (old) Super Elite the same as my current Elite or a new Xbox Slim for the same price? I know where my money is going. Plus it will match my shiny new Kinetic.

The Xbox 360 S is 17% smaller and is incapable of RRoD. That's not to say it can't break, it just doesn't display a failure like that anymore. It is now green. I always thought it was stupid on Microsoft's part for not only making the console so easily breakable, but making the way it is shown broken so recognizable.

Yeah, I agree - I always worry that when I play my current Xbox 360 late at night, other people in the house are able to hear it, it's so fucking loud.
Plus, built in wi-fi is a huge bonus.

GAME is the worst shop to trade in your games and consoles UK side. I much prefer CEX, at least they offer some sort of reasonable money. I'm thinking about getting the slim with Kinnect or however it's spelt, but I don't see much scope for it. I play shooting games mostly, and seeing as its geared more toward the family audience (To compete with the Wii) , I don't think I'll be shooting assholes with my facial expressions in Black Ops come December.

If anything, they copied the 2006 version of the ps3. Glossy finish? Touch sensor buttons? Built in wi-fi? Way to create a ps3 circa 2006, microsoft. (Only without the features that matter and will turn your disks into paper for looking at it the wrong way.)
I would say that the ONLY thing going in Microsoft's favour as of now is Xbox Live. Its a far superior online experience from what I've played of both. But all the features from the PS3 are hard to live without.
