Ugh, I hate this pre-match feeling. This morning I was absolutely confident England would win tonight by 3 or 4 goals, but the closer the game gets the more scared I am that we are going to blow it like we always do. Obviously this isn't helped by seeing Heskey in the team again- he has to prove himself tonight and allow Rooney et al to flourish in attack.

France losing yesterday was no big surprise for me. But Germany losing today was weird, although I still think they'll advance. And the referees have been messing up today's games, lets hope the one for England's match isn't that bad...

The Algerians are coming out pretty strong and England seems to be having some trouble coming together as a team. I was expecting Algeria to come out disheartened and England to regroup after what was very nearly an opening win, but it's just the opposite. This could end up being a real battle.

I don't know about you guys, supporting who and what-not, but this game is not entertaining. I hope it picks up in the second half, because otherwise a string of half-decent games is out of here.

That was horrible to watch, I don't know if they're nervous or scared but they need to start playing that vertical style of offensive they are so famous for. Also they need to take out Heskey, that guy does nothing good for the team at least Lennon has speed which can be useful when CROUCH comes in, which he SHOULD.

I've just watched 95 minutes of "football" from England and Algeria.

The only entertaining moment was a fucking pigeon sitting on the back of Algeria's net.

We never showed any chance of breaking down a shaky looking keeper for Algeria. Why didn't we try something different, like shooting from within the box.

Worst England display since we failed to qualify for the Euros. Absolute rubbish throughout the team (ironically James was probably our best player). Rooney was awful, Lampard may have well not bothered showing up, and Heskey was as always a complete waste of space.

For the first time I've lost faith in Capello. He doesn't know how to change things, and it is clear as day that what we have at the moment isn't good enough. Please, we never ever need to see Heskey in an England shirt again, and Gerrard has to play behind Rooney. Why won't he play Joe Cole on the left? He played so well there in the warm up and in the last world cup.

Thankfully the group is so crap that despite being abysmal we will still go through top with a comfortable win over Slovenia. Right now I have no idea how we will do that mind, but the management have 5 days to think of something brilliant to change things. Get through and we can put this sorry mess behind us and try and play properly for the rest of the tournament.

Exactly. And Rooney, I'm sorry but he played fucking terrible tonight. He is one of the strikers who were 'meant' to bring this tournament to life, and he was just poor tonight I think. I thought heskey looked more likely to score and I think that says a lot.

We were just shambles and we don't deserve to get through if we beat Slovenia.
