Added some much needed contrast, tried to add some muscle on the back, and tried to make his right arm not look so floaty (failed at that) Anyways a new version.

Wanted to try the whole pkmnathon.tumblr.com thing so here's the first pokemon. I'll try to do one daily, let's see how that goes.
Here's the second pokemon in our pokemon marathon challenge :)
Today's victim is none other than the coolest pokemon of them all, Charmander! He has a crown, cause he's awesome!

I love this pic, very smooth, but I would fix the line on his left arm (the crack between his upper- and underarm). its not right considering the position of his hand. it is very noticeable to me.

Thank you both for the comments, I'm really happy you are liking what I've been posting :)
Today's warm up is none other than charmeleon.

These look really nice. I love whenever artists do those whole piece a day things, it's great for practice, though I've never actually kept up with mine.

Thank you man, I'm really happy that you're liking them. Hopefully I can keep up with them, and even if I make a couple of crappy ones like the charmeleon, at least I'll be able to finish them.
Working on a portfolio piece, while I'm also doing the pokemon, this one will take me more time, so I hope I can make it as great as I possibly can. So far here's my sketch, I'll start doing color comps and everything once I finish all my planning, and sketching.
It's such an awful feeling to know something's wrong but have no idea of what it is.... DAMMIT!

I think you're forgetting something very important on the fire pokemons, that the fire on their tails should be consider as a light source and that there should be certain emphasis to point that out. The charmeleon for example, has a weak shadow or weak highlights. In the charizard, it lacks a shadow over the charizard itself even though you added the shadow in front of its feet.
Now emphasis on how strong the lighting and shadow isn't necessary in certain cases.
For example your charmander, if you remove the shadow it might be a nice calm flat piece (adding a little more yellow on the face where the fire is hitting won't hurt either).
You did very nice on the lines of charmeleon and charmander (even though charmander lines was soft brush over pretty bad), I definitely mostly complimenting on how you control the thickness of the lines on those 2. Now for charizard, your line weight and thickness went bad over that, you could do better then that and I know that you know that I know it. Just do what you did with charmeleon.
Hopefully today's image redeems me from my last disgusting piece. Hope you like it :)
Today's pokemon is none other than Wartortle! Hope you like it.

Well, you've already failed on the one a day thing, but don't let that discourage you from continuing on :D

Jajajaja, I've been trying to keep a consistent schedule but it's been hella difficult. I'll try and take a day off just so I can catch up with the actual challenge.

Shady business man Kakuna....
Took a break from my pokemon project to delve into some caricatures, kinda like this a lot... I'll be switching between doing caricature warmups and working on the Pokemon marathon, but I'll be drawing constantly :)
