Cleveland Browns - Established 1946

Cincinnati Bengals - Established 1968
He might mean little brother in terms of accomplishments. Even though both teams aren't really relevant in the NFL today, the Bengals can boast that they have been to the Super Bowl twice. Cleveland hasn't even been there once.

Not to mention, on a technical level, these Browns have only been around since 1999, where as the Bengals have been in the NFL since 1970 and was formed in '68 as part of the AFL. And before you mention the Browns of the past, they left in '95 to be the Baltimore Ravens, leaving their history behind. I could go on and on about this, but I rather not.

Anyways, Tom Brady just went God Mode on the Miami defense, passing for 517 yards and 4 TDs, including a 99 yard strike to Welker. Chad Henne wasn't half bad either throwing for over 400 yards and running in for a TD no less, this is definitely has been a good week for Michigan QB's both in the college and pro level.

So, with Oakland's victory over Denver, I'm 8-8 in terms of my picks for the first week in the NFL. I'm not proud of messing up so many games, but I could've done so much worse. Hopefully next week goes better. Expect my picks to be coming soon.

I was 11-5 for my week 1 predictions. Although, I didn't post my predictions until after the Packers won, so my post was 10-5.

It's a real shame that I already had one fantasy game in the bag before Brady/Welker went beef moe and got me 24 points on one play

Yea i had a pretty interesting fantasy football weekend between my two teams as well, one of them i was facing Brady and barely surivived and the other i had Welker and pulled out a HUGE comeback having Seabass kick a few Field Goals to get me both wins, overall it was a great and exciting day. =)

Denver needs to import some players who can hold onto the ball. I seriously watched them fumble three offensive plays in a row last night.

Nah, I'll do it. You just worry about the wedding and not dropping the ring or passing out at the altar. :P

It was a great day besides the huge hangover that I had as soon as I woke up to about 9 at night. It didn't really get out of my system until I danced it out. :P

Peyton finally missed a game and is speculated to be out for a season and people starts acting like he should retire. True that Colts need to think about finding someone to replace him one day but give up on him now? Really? Just look at the comments.

Peyton will be back, if they said that he should take a year off and play it safe then I can understand but it wasn't the case.

Guess Joe Montana should have hung it up after what happened in 1986 right? Or Tom Brady after the opener of 2008.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are Brett Favre fans who wanted Peyton to retire so no one can pass his TD pass record.

Hey, at least no one will touch his int. record.

It'll be funny if Favre calls the Colts asking for a job.

Kansas City at Detroit - Lions
Oakland at Buffalo - Bills (shudder)
Tampa Bay at Minnesota - Bucs
Chicago at New Orleans - Very tough call but I gotta pick the Saints
Baltimore at Tennessee - Ravens
Cleveland at Indianapolis - Browns- I don't trust the Colts right now at all
Jacksonville at NY Jets - Jets
Seattle at Pittsburgh - Steelers
Arizona at Washington - Redskins
Green Bay at Carolina - Packers win blindfolded
Dallas at San Francisco - Cowboys
San Diego at New England - Pats
Houston at Miami - Very tough call but I gotta edge the Texans with Foster back
Cincinnati at Denver - Broncos
Philadelphia at Atlanta - Eagles
MONDAY
St. Louis at NY Giants - I can't betray my hometown team two weeks in a row. I gotta pick the Rams, despite losing Steven Jackson, I'm confident in Cadillac.

Man, there were a lot of tough calls this week. These should be some really interesting games and should determine who's serious and who isn't.

I'm an asshole and made this image. If you don't understand it, then you should note that I'm comparing the Miami RedHawks head football coach to Coach Jerry Kill of the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

I can't wait to see these two teams play on Saturday. Go RedHawks!

Auburn lost which snaps a 17-game win streak. I guess no repeat this year.

And I'm surprised to see Norte Dame up 28-13 on Michigan State in the 4th. I just turned the game on so I don't know if it's the Irish being really good or Sparty laying an egg.

OU FSU game tonight, can't wait!

Now I know that today was a good day when Ohio State got their asses handed to by Miami {FL}. Fickell clearly doesn't have the capacity to coach the Buckeyes, especially when he can't decide on a QB, and not call timeouts when they still had a chance in hell.

And in a way, it's a form of cosmic justice that the Hurricanes finally won over the Buckeyes, after what happened nearly 8 years ago in the Fiesta Bowl, where they got robbed of a national title because of the refs.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Do I really have to get a tape of that full game, clip out a part where there was defensive holding by the 'canes that went uncalled and would have ended the game beforehand?

Did you really forget about that phantom pass interference call that led to the GW Buckeyes score in overtime, or is that just selective memory? Regardless of which, it was still a grevious error on the refs part IMO, and there is nothing we can do to change that. We can go over this game until the cows come home, but it's more important that we stick to the here and now.

Also, this loss just gets us closer to Urban Meyer... you know that right? If I was a Michigan fan then I would be shaking in my boots at the possibility that the Buckeyes could get Meyer.

First off, the Buckeyes aren't going to get Urban Meyer, because that would create an immediate culture clash between how he does things and how the OSU boosters and alumni does things. If you don't believe me, just go ask Rich Rodridgez about Michigan and how did that work out.

Second, not only that it's going to be a complete rebuilding job, but you may face some heavy sanctions from the NCAA about Pryor's and Tressel's screwups. That'll scare away a lot of potential recruits, and that's the last thing you would want, especially if you are a new coach.

Finally, they are most likely to stick with Fickell for at least 2 more years or so, I don't think it would be wise for them to switch coaches after only 1 year. Face the facts, Ohio State is going to be in the same position where Michigan was 3 years ago, whereas the Wolverines is a program is on the rise. If the sun can set on the British Empire, the sun will set on the Buckeyes. But then again, what do I know?

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Well, hopefully Miami will win next week. They're playing a conference opponent, Bowling Green, and they're still reigning champions in the MAC. I figure that if Miami can keep the score close with bigger schools like Mizzou or Minnesota, there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to beat school's their own size. Plus, I think we'll snap our non-conference losing streak when we play Army this year. I honestly believe that the RedHawks have what it takes to beat the Black Knights.

Anyways, I'm pumped up for some NFL. :D

The Ravens are worrying me a bit, they're not looking nowhere near as good as last week. Flacco was off to a really bad start and we're not putting enough pressure on Hasselbeck. Our offense did start to pick up towards the end of the first half though, so I'm expecting the Ravens to look better in the second half.
