I'm currently at 34,825 medal points so far, so I should be around rank 161-162 or something. Is there an official page for this and if so can someone send me a link?

Played a little but still not too many points. All of these new people being found is lowering my rank quite a bit too. Nobody said it would be easy to get to the top of this leaderboard though so i'll just have to try a little harder to play new games.

There we go. Two ranks up again. I played Stealing the Diamond last night which had some pretty easy, high valued medals attached it. I also got some from Bahamuts birthday flash. Anyway, if I want to make my move into the top 100 I guess I better do it quickly. The longer I linger in these regions, the more difficult it will get to maintain my position.

Still first, wow! When I came home last night, I noticed Hedgehog was going at full speed again, and I had some issues playing games. Luckily, that got solved around midnight and I was able to earn some points before I went to bed. Well, this is my 25th time at the #1 spot, but after all those boring weeks, I finally have some real competition again. Yay!

Yes, I think it's a good idea to drop those names in this topic. Even if H-O-S doesn't notice the new names right away (like Newgrundling), they will be added eventually. The more people are scouted, the more accurate the list is.

Heh, yeah I noticed that. It's pretty obvious how you managed to get that score (cheating!!11one), but some people like to accuse people first, even though the score system clearly indicates you just rocked that game. This is why I usually don't go for the extra game to get insane highscores. Even now people accuse me of cheating every once in a while (you can't possibly have that many points :O!!!1), and as you know by now, I can't help myself but respond to/get mad about stuff like that. :P

Nice addition to your list! All of these medals work, but are sometimes impossible to earn without doing some research outside of the game. I don't see what's wrong with some of these medals though (like Merlin's Apprentice), but I'm sure you did your research and I just forgot why the medal description isn't 100% accurate. =)

In my defense about going the extra mile, I was trying to get the "all powerups" medal. I did documentation, and we quickly came to the conclusion that it's actually not obtainable atm.

Nice addition to your list! All of these medals work, but are sometimes impossible to earn without doing some research outside of the game. I don't see what's wrong with some of these medals though (like Merlin's Apprentice), but I'm sure you did your research and I just forgot why the medal description isn't 100% accurate. =)

I got Merlin's Apprentice before I maxed out my magic abilities. I'm actually not sure I should include that medal and some other ones, since you can get it early while still attempting what it asks for.

Oh boy, you're on to a touchy subject there. It starts on page 679 in the Newgrounds Medals - Games and Tips thread.

I'm the original public proposer and executioner of the idea. I didn't get the last medal myself on this account, but two users, one who is a prominent gamer and in the top 5, has done this to get the Ultimate Warlord medal. One other user has openly expressed outrage and mysteriously disappeared from the Wi/Ht forums (afaik) afterwards. Last but not least, another prominent gamer has said that he didn't like such a shady method, but doesn't blame me for trying stuff.

There are no shenanigans going on here. Just look at it as an extra step we need to take since the author refuses to fix the medal.

I wasn't around. But if that's you messing with system files to achieve a 100 point broken medal, not only you should be more clear as also I disapprove. You need all races. Not all races are available [on Newgrounds]. Therefore it is impossible. You cannot achieve impossible medals. It's that simple.

Until a lot of people start doing this (and it's at least 16 hours of effort from scratch), or if the NG staff say otherwise, this is on dubious grounds.

Why doesn't the Ultimate Warlord medal just get deleted? I have no problem with switching the .sol since you already put in the effort, as you said. I copied some .sols for games I already finished on another site, I don't see anything wrong with that. But since the medal is literally impossible with the game file on this site, the medal shouldn't exist.

Well that's kind of the problem Bobogoobo. If an author doesn't fix a medal, nothing happens to it. Psychogoldfish did a great job creating the medal system, and he probably still does a lot of work behind the scenes, but deleting broken medals isn't really high on his to do list. The Ultimate Warlord medal has been broken for 8 months now, so yeah, it might be a really long time before it actually gets deleted. In my opinion, everything you do outside of a game to make something happen within a game, is some form of cheating. Sure, deleting a .sol file (if you want to start over) or copying a .sol file (if you played for hours and want to make sure a medal sends) can be helpful and they don't make something happen in a game that you couldn't do otherwise.

My point is, a random guy should be able to play whatever game, and earn every medal in that game without it being necessary to go to this thread, swap files or whatever. Having said that, this isn't the case and it annoys me that my 'broken medals' list is way larger than my 'medals to get' list. Therefore, I don't blame queenofbabes at all for getting the Ultimate Warlord medal, as I would really love to take that one of my list as well. We all have different opinions about what is allowed and what is not, but if we state that file swapping with a completely unrelated website is just a normal thing to do, well, I really dislike that idea. Unless the author comments gets edited with a nice description on how to do it, so everyone is able to do it, and earn the medal if they want to.

But hey, that's just like, my opinion, man.
