Teenage bisexuals

Am I the only one who just can't believe that they're real?

Yesterday, my sister informed that her fifteen year old class mate is a bisexual, and straight away I found myself going off about how he's just doing it for attention and that no teenagers are bisexual. Now, thinking about it, I can't work out why I did that. I've never met the guy, but for some reason the idea of a teenager claiming to be bisexual always makes me think that they just want attention. Teenage homosexuals and lesbians sometimes do the same for me, but only if I've met them and I'm sure that they're just putting it on (at parties and stuff where girls kiss other girls so boys will look at them etc). Also, if somebody was over twenty and they told me they were bisexual, I'd believe it and have no problem. Anybody younger than that, and I'm convinced that they're an attention whore. I can't work out why I do this.

I think it's because anybody can claim their bisexual. It's not like you have to get it on with both genders right there to prove it.

Yeah a lot of teens tweens and emos like to go off on how they are bi.
They mostly just do it for attention and it makes people who really are bi pissed off and not even want to say that they are bi. A few of my friends are bi and now they wont even say it now because of the recent trend of how cool it is to be bi.

Basically its just another one of these fads thats probably going to dry up in a few years.

I think that most teen bisexuals are questioning their sexuality but after 16 you usually know. sometimes people do it for attention (It's kinda a fad) yet I know some people who actually are. I think true bisexuality is rarer than being one way or the other but it makes me pissed when people cheapen something like that. Just be what you are, gay , straight bi, trans whatever. It should not matter.

I don't think so, I've heard that some guys think that being bisexual will make them look sensitive and they can still have girlfriends, whereas if they turn gay they may actually have to kiss a guy or something.

All the ones I know seem to only talk about it and claim to be bi. Ive never seen one of them with a girl and its impossible to get a straight answer if you ask about relationships.

I think that most of the time, you're right. But there are some people out there who are being honest, and just want to be accepted for who they think they are at the moment. I think I'm bi, because I've always liked girls and every once in awhile I see a guy I think is hot...I've never gone out with a guy, but I wouldn't go into denial and say "I ONLY LIKE GIRLSSSS"
