"Mid-Town Summer Jam" in album "Cannot Sleep"
This song was a quick one. I've gotten to the point where I can think of a sound I would like to play around with and most of the time be able to make it without to much fuss. However, I am clearly rusty as lately, i've made (off the record) songs that are more for me and my side works. They sound more mechanical, more silent hill'esq if silent hill sounded like that and not like 2 instruments having awekward intercourse but this song was just a quick (Get back on that horse)-type thing. Something to get the bones moving, and I don't mind saying that they are. It's a fine song, I find the melody and the bass fit well...sound wise, at least. I think the melody (Being the lighter bass-sounding part) don't mix well with the bass at some points and I could probably fix that but I'm fine with it. It's fine! It's all fine. Don't @ me.
I originally had drums but they made my ears bleed so I begrudingly took them out. I also have a version with bass turned up a little bit because I, for no perticular reason worry that the sounds are to sharp and that some of you will be sensitive to it but nobody has complained so far so I don't worry to much about it. I worry about you, you know. Especially your ears. Nevermind the fact that one of my songs are so loud that I jump out of my chair sometimes when it turns on as I like to sometimes go through my old library of music and see if I still remember my music or just to see how far i've come in term of progression. It's amazing to listen to and view the things i've made and try to remember where I was at that point in time.
I'm sure that in a couple of years I will forget about these descriptions and perhaps find them in a drunken haze mixed with self-flagellation and energy drinks, and to you I say - Behold! This was you all those years ago! Behold the suffering of hating who you were all those years past or bask in your former glory as I am the person you wish you still were!
Oh, and happy holidays!
