NIce track. I actually don't have much to say tbh. Although I think I could do a good remix of this if I had the flp (hint, hint).
I went WAAAY out of my comfort zone again. Kinda like with Neon, but more extreme. This is the most eccentric song I've ever made. I wanted to do some sort of lo-fi thing in the beginning, and that's what I tried to do, but then I started putting emotion into it and it drastically transformed into what it is now. I spent about six hours or so on it, made in one day. Hopefully it doesn't suck too much.
I honestly don't know what to think about it, though. Part of me adores it, part of me despises it. I just can't tell what it is about this that's so off but so pleasing to me. It was REALLY fun to make; perhaps that's where the positive vibes are coming from on my behalf.
Also, I used a few of Virtual Riot's samples towards the second half. Hopefully that's legal. The rest of the song is made from scratch, so it's still 85-or-so-percent original. :p
EDIT: I uploaded a fix for it, but I don't know if it worked or not. The updating system here has never worked for me.

I can tell how far you went out of your comfort zone by a bit, I think. The first part could be mixed better, but when it changes at about 1/4 of the way in, the way you've done most of the rest of the song is very smooth. As far as variation goes, the variation throughout the song is VERY well-done. For the 2nd melodies, I think a bit more noticeable variation could be done there, but otherwise the variation is excellent. The percussion is well-mixed for most of the song, but I still think it could use some fine-tuning in some parts, primarily at the beginning. The baseline is well-varied throughout the song, and gives it a nice, calming atmosphere. I'm pretty sure I hear some relaxed sidechaining throughout the song, which is just enough to be noticeable, but not overly prominent. Lastly, you used the reverb on very nearly everything, if not everything. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, and you used the reverb well, and didn't overuse it, but do be wary of overusing it in the future.
I said I would be holding you to a higher standard, and aside from the very minor details, this track completely fulfilled those expectations. Congratulations, and I look forwards to your next track.
Thank you so much!
I was really looking forward to your review on this song specifically, and I must say this did surprise me. There's a lot of mixing and mastering issues where I could've tuned things up, especially in the beginning (which was the emotionless screw-around part), I definitely agree there. I'll try to keep things a bit easier in the future.
Thank you for the immensely positive review. I hope I can continue to meet those standards in the future :D
nice!
could use some bass, but still good!
5/5
Some electronic tracks doesn't hurt though. Really nice melody and definitely that type of song I listen to on a car trip :D The ending riffs sounded... weird? And you definitely remove the small silent part in the middle, made my hype kinda turned down a little :p
(btw i had made some progress on my music production can you check some out like "Falling" or "Cube"?)
Thank you! I hated putting in the silent part, but I didn't know how to transition into that part without just cutting everything off. The end chords DID sound really weird. They don't sound that screwed up on my flp, but it's probably the instrument I used. It has a special kind of decay. If I ever redo it or fix it somehow, I'll change the instrument I use for it.
Thanks :D I'll check out your stuff, yeah. :3
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
