Wonderful!!!!! You are amazing!
I had a rough start to my week of music development. I previously mentioned that I was having a hard time with myself dealing with hard hitting depression and I'm still fighting and keeping strong. However, this week I attempted to commit suicide and it was a hard struggle for me between life and death. I was rushed to the hospital where I would find myself staying for an entire week. I was only allowed to leave on Sunday morning. With that being said this was a 2 day worth of hard work. I tried my best to come up with something as soon as I could. This is the result. I was honestly ready to give up but I'm glad I didn't because I still have more to share and that's why I love music. It gives me reason to continue and move on. Ladies and gentleman I give you my Round of 16 Final NGADM Submission; " Starry Sky" I was thinking of going Netsky and Monstercat in the sense but that is for the judges to decide and me to find out. Good luck to everyone else in this round finale as well!
Wonderful!!!!! You are amazing!
Hehe thank you my friend. I try to be.
Your legendary classic !
Hehe thank you :3
you are very cool Techmo-X! I am proud of you. I felt the emotion of the music, very wonderful music. :)
Thank you so much!
Hey, Tech! I know you're been having a really rough time of it lately, but you still managed to put together a truly solid NGADM track, and that's what I call impressive.
Love the overall vibe here from start to finish, and it feels like you've made really good use of your Sytrus library to create a very nuanced and layered sound. Really great drum work overall, though the fuller sections could use a bit more punch so the kicks don't fall behind the curtain so much, and those snares could do with more velocity variance, especially the builds. Gotta do something about that reverb on those deep drums, too; they just kind of swallow the entire mix without proper equalization.
I like how this track goes from the softer, more chill sections and suddenly blows up into the bigger and bolder sections, though the wall feels a bit too high between the two modes. Making some of the layers more subtle could serve to make those transitions a bit less jarring. I also really dig what you did by first having a more melodic ending, then you followed that up with a nice, gradual ambient one. Actually, your ambient and melodic elements are woven together very smoothly from the beginning. Well done!
This is seriously incredible for just two days of work, in all honesty! You have no reason to be anything but proud of the effort you put in. I sincerely hope that you keep making music for a long time to come.

Honestly I can't show you right now but this made me tear up. I did try my best to come up with something so it wasn't enough time to finish up as much as I wanted. I'm glad you liked it though. Thank you.
Time for your review, Techmo. Open wide!
Stuff that's great:
- The Distant patch on sytrus is great, isn't it?
- Your overall atmosphere in this piece is actually really fantastic, I think that with some work on the composition it would end up being quite good.
- The melody in the piece, while simple, is actually really nice - the arpeggios in the melody could be better, but they aren't too bad until they're used to excess in the second half of your melody pattern.
- Massively amused by the use of the "go" sample from FL Studio, hahaha.
Stuff that can be improved:
- The second arpeggio that comes in at the start doesn't work well with the first one at all - this continues throughout the piece.
- Careful with big reverby bass drum hits, they can really mess up a mix. Try using EQ before and after the reverb.
- The mix kinda eats itself around 3 minutes in, and falls apart even more around 3:20. Wall of indistinct noise is not the best route to a good mix.
- Some variation and less raw sound of your snare would be excellent in the snare rolls. Try varying the velocity.
- Repetition. Try using more patterns and tweaking them slightly - there's an option in FL called "make unique" when you click the options for a pattern. It's super helpful and lets you create variation with similar patterns without needing to rewrite the whole thing.
This piece is pretty nice, but suffers from some serious mixing issues and compositional mishaps which bring it down a lot more than it really should be. I think with a bit of work on covering up the current issues in the piece, this would be really excellent.

Thank you for the review SkyeWint. I understand what you meant about the added reverb on the drums. It did give a slight switch off of the main track of the song. I did however use the Equalizer on the drums but I guess it came out wrong. Any advice through getting some better drums via PM would be nice. I'm not very familiar with importing VST plug-ins but it could be an experience. Either way thank you for reviewing my song.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
