Dango Daikazoku Lullaby

A simple music box rendition of Dango Daikazoku from Clannad. Some soft cello joins the mix partway through, followed by a bit of French horn. Just a little something I wanted to make for my own family, which I am now sharing with you and yours.

Original music by Jun Maeda, a truly talented jack-of-all-trades.

Pardon me but this brought a tear to my eye, undoubtedly its going to my favorites. Really curious about how to find more of the like but an awesesome work you made there!

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks a lot, Huevo-Zilla! Glad to bring a nostalgic tear to the eye, and always proud to be added to someone's list of favorites. You can always click on some of the tags and go on a musical adventure.

As for my own works along a similar vein, there's always Homesick (Earthbound) from 2016 and The Flower We Saw That Day from back in 2014, as well as a variety of others. Heck, just take a trip through my musical repertoire! I'm sure you'll find more to your liking.

Dig it much. Love music box things. I usually make them creepy. Didn't know there was a "joy" side. lol. Cool stuff. :) Cello was a nice touch.

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks a bunch for the quick review, man! If you're looking for something with a nice creepy ambient vibe, there's always my 2013 Halloween submission, Abyssal Reflection. That said, it's awesome that you could still enjoy the happier side of things with this one, too. It's also meant to be a bit on the sad side, and that slow attack cello really helps out with that, I think.

Easily my favorite song of your 2016 submissions, ChronoNomad. I've enjoyed each new song you made through the past year but yeah....This one is so special. Thank you <3 My heart overflows every time I listen to this beautiful rendition of Dango Daikazoku. Family is where it's at!

There's so much wrapped up in each note. So many feels... Both personal and anime stories. Joy and sadness dancing. I can only smile with misty eyes as the strains go by. I wouldn't have missed 2016 with you for the world, Chrono.

ChronoNomad responds:

Family certainly is where it's at. And thank you so very much for your kind words. It makes me smile to know that you continue to enjoy my musical meanderings, and this track has that certain je ne sais quoi...you know?

There's a lot of meaning behind the original song, and these days it feels even more relevant to everyday life. Reality may not be quite like anime, but all art imitates life. And those feels! My goodness, the feels. Gotta love 'em.

Glad to have you along for the ride, shoKawa! Stay tuned, there's always more to come. <3

A great mixture of French horn and cello. This track is just filled with emotions.

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks a bunch, DoctorDangeresque! I appreciate your kind words, and am pleased to know that you enjoy the emotional qualities of the music.

This song is mellow and bittersweet. It makes me think of some of the happiest, angriest, and sorrowful moments of my life. The song is almost spiritual in a way. Its melody is pleasant but haunting. Very hypnotic and droning in my opinion. It is overall, a great song!

ChronoNomad responds:

Mellow and bittersweet are incredibly spot on descriptors for this piece. It's a crazy ride on on the Train of Feels that brings waves of nostalgia to the fore, and yes...I understand what you mean when you say it's almost spiritual.

A good piece of music weaves joy and sadness together into the tapestry of the listener's own life experiences. At least that's what I think. Thanks for listening and taking the time to leave another beautiful review. I truly appreciate your thoughts.
