Took some time to get the mix right here...let me know if there's anything I could do better!

As usual, I've used mostly organic sounds: Two guitars, body/beatbox percs, and a jar of quinoa...go fig, it sounded right when I shook it. Single day to record, a second day on the mixing.

LYRICS:

S

Can't even stop the rain
From landing on my head
So how to stop the rain
Of decades dripping past my bed

Can't fight the cold
From peeling back my bones
So how to stop the old
And ticking entropy alone

Can't recall the day
I came into this place
So gotta say
I'm sure that no one will recall my face

Can't say I know
Just why I'm even here
Can't fight the flow
Of drifting down another year

And I'm fading, fading out
There's just no one in this whole damn place
Who'll say what it's about

And I'm just fading away
There's still no one in this whole damn place
Who can make it all right anyway

And just who am I
To want more than this?
A fading speck
In eternity on a tiny spinning disc

And I could scream
An echo in the dark
A supernova
Dwarfed by children playing in the park

And I'm fading, fading out
It's slashing at a waterfall
For all that I've found out

And I'm just fading away
And everything I've ever known
Will all be gone someday.

Yeah entropy
Hey yeah entropy
Three cheers for entropy
'Cause everything's falling, falling apart

And I could be mad
Hell I coud even rage
But wouldn't that be sad
To just tear out and toss my page?

And I'm fading, fading out
Barely spectral anymore
With nothing figured out

Yet I'm glowing, glowing on
And if the whole damn thing it is a joke,
Then I'm the one it's on.

Yeah entropy
Hey yeah entropy
Three cheers for entropy.
'Cause everything's falling, falling apart.

Really good job man.

So at 1:05 there's the transition from verse to chorus right? The progression changes and the lyrical chorus starts. But it's almost unnoticeable that a new section has started because there's no change in the tone of your voice or guitar. So the verse and chorus blends together.

When you get to the part where you sing "Entropy! Hey yeah entropy... three cheers for entropy!" you open up and I feel you more. You're more expressive when you get to that part. The way you play the guitar and sing changes.

So if that's the chorus... and the part of the lyrics where you repeat "fading" is some sort of bridge... I hear it being played no different from the other verses.

FEAR THE REAPER!@!!@@! THAT'S WHAT I WAS REMINDED OF. WHERE'S THE COWBELL THO??!?!

Hey man, no solo? The song works well without one but couldn't help but think this would be a fun progression to play lead for.

Ceevro responds:

I could do...just didn't really wanna for this one for some reason. Perhaps I just got lazy and should revisit it.

"A jar of quinoa" --> That's it, this thing needs a review.

This is very catchy and full-textured, especially compared with some of the other tracks of yours I've listened to. I love the lyrics and progression, and I'd say the mixing and mastering is pretty darn good. I can hear everything clearly. While I like the sense of climax it has throughout, but I think it might've needed a solo or breakdown at some point, just to keep the listener grounded and/or offer some structural relief. My favorite part of the track is definitely the lyrics, though - while catchy and creative, they're also both super relatable while also offering a valuable life lesson. I got a lot out of them. Thanks Ceevro, and keep up the great work! ;D

Ceevro responds:

You're very right. A bridge is what's needed in this. Why didn't that occur to me? Gaa. Sometimes we make the most basic mistakes when we're enjoying a beat...A mistake I don't mean to duplicate in the future!

Quinoa makes a mean maraca. Nice recording.

Ceevro responds:

I always try to find something around the house to make an organic sound with. Kinda like a signature of sorts.

Pretty cool bro. Keep up the awesome. :)

Ceevro responds:

Thanks!
