Hey, look, I know how to upload! I was worried because, supposedly, everything goes away after a new year. And holy crap, it's 2015! This is not allowed! I mean, I still want to say it's 2012...and it's not just me, so don't even say it...
Anyway, so here is my newest release, "Here to Stay." Part of it is based off of Cole from Inquisition (who's my precious baby) and part of it is based off a story idea I have that I'll one day get around to writing. And I'm singing here, which is new (not counting my...uh...less than great cover of the Revelations theme...). I actually sing a lot, but I'm a little nervous with sharing that aspect of my...ehm...skill set. Besides, recording's a BITCH.
If you're looking for something weird and different, listen to the reversed version of this song, which I'm also uploading.
At any rate, if you're like me, you'll want lyrics. I mean, if you can't understand me, then that means my diction's fucked, but still, lyrics!
Can you see me standing here?
You're not as lonely as you appear.
I promise you that I will never disappear
Unless you want it that way,
I'm here to stay.
Here I stand and nothing's crystal clear,
I'm not a monster to be feared.
I'm not some senseless horror that will make you sleep
Forever and ever.
[Chorus]
Let me stay, and I'll stay.
Bid me go, and I'll go.
Let me stay, and I promise
You'll never be lonely that way
Again.
I can see that you're in pain,
And I can't just sit here and watch in vain.
This path of self-destruction you've decided to take
Is not the answer.
Feel my skin 'neath your fingertips,
And I'll help fight back the cold that nips.
I promise you that all you're feeling ain't some trick
That I've conjured.
[Chorus]
Can you see me standing here?
Update: Several commenters pointed out that the track was clipping like crazy, and I can't believe I didn't catch that before posting it. I've been meaning to fix it forever, and now I finally have, so it shouldn't clip anymore!
While I was at it, I updated the tracks with the nicer-sounding VST plugins I downloaded recently, so it's not going to sound exactly the same as before.
