I've been commissioned to make the soundtrack for an upcoming visual novel series, and this here is the menu theme for the first visual novel. Adel, the name mentioned in the title, is the protagonist for the first visual novel.

I'll be making a full version of Adel's Theme with way more melodies and dynamics and variety, but this is a very dumbed-down and low-key version for the menu, so that might explain the repetition of the main melody and the lack of anything particularly exciting. I tried to achieve a pretty simple but likeable atmosphere with unorthodox instrumentation ranging from a muted piano to an acoustic guitar, to strings, to electronic atmospheric effects and pads. Everything in here is either East/West Hollywood Strings Gold, East/West Symphonic Orchestra Silver, East/West Stormdrum 2 or Omnisphere, apart from some of the atmospheric effects which are from Vengeance.

Hope you enjoy this little ditty and look forward to the fleshed out and proper version of this!

Secondly : yes I am going to overcompliment this song again third : THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME, the instruments are great the melody is even better, the effects are just AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is a 50/5, you are really good at making music. Why are you so awesome? This is beautiful. Those strings sound amazing, and the climactic nature of this piece is really eye-catching. It has a bit of a hushed and furtive quality, though. I would've loved to see a little more contrast. It's well-structured and very smooth-flowing, and also loops well. Good job! Looking forward to the full-length version. :)

I really did want to add more contrast and dynamics and I totally agree with you that this piece lacks them. However, don't forget that this is a menu theme for a menu that doesn't even have much going on apart from a few buttons and a pretty background! The developer specified that she wanted it to be very low-key, and I tried to hold back as much as I could (even though 0:32 was kind of pushing it in terms of "low-key" haha).

This is wonderful for a visual novel menu. Immersion from the get-go!

00:32 gave me chills.

I think the end should be given a little more time to die down before looping. One more measure with just atmospheric sounds (or possibly with really quiet synth or guitar notes).

Beautiful! Very well put together. Everything mixed together real nice; the guitars, piano, strings, everything. So professional. And there's more to this??? I'd sure like to hear it!

I didn't find anything wrong with this piece. The quality is clean and the mood seems like it's describing the beauty of Adel herself.
