Well, definitely not one of my best submissions, but oh well, here it is. My final jungle song. I made this ages ago for a collab album I was doing with Scooter-16 called Supernova (which we didn't actually do since after I finished all of the songs I was going to contribute to the album and Scooter and I finished two collabs for the album, he was too lazy to make some songs himself for the album :\), and this was one of my submissions.

I have another 4 songs called Unleashing the Tormented, Through the Void, The Adventure Begins and To the Death, but I probably won't submit those since they suck because I did them ages ago. If I would choose two of those to submit I'd probably choose The Adventure Begins which is a classical song with conga drums and Through the Void which is a dance song, although chances are I won't submit them. This was one of the few album songs I made which I think is pretty decent right now (before I thought they were great since I sucked at FL Studio at the time) so I'm submitting it, just in case some madman decides to download it...

This uses a hell of a lot of drum samples I downloaded, and some lion/tiger roars I downloaded from some random sites on the Internet. That's right, it's all percussion and sound effects. I used congas, shakers, bongoes, sticks, kettles, different types of cymbals, and some other stuff which I forgot (I deleted the FLP file so I can't look to see what stuff I used). My other recent songs are much better than this, so don't hear this song and get a bad impression :P.

Anyway, enjoy the song, although I doubt you will, and reviews/votes are still appreciated. I'll respond to all reviews and review back if it's helpful. Thanks for listening!

Given its age..

its still a really cool sound. you dont get to much tribal that good out of the modern day. I BET you could redo this and make it 30 times better.

The ending doesnt wrap the song together to well. Its defiantly to short for this type of song.

Step responds:

Hey, ImdoG, good to hear from you again :). Glad you enjoyed the song, and yeah, if I could redo this, I'd make it way better, but unfortunately I deleted its FLP :(. Yeah, the ending is abrupt and short, but ending percussion-only songs is a bit tricky, and I couldn't think of anything better at the time. Anyway, thanks for the review, check out my newer submissions if you can, this one sucks :P.

Cool

So, you could probably rock this out more by using some samples that were more "tribal" in sound. You do a good job creating the atmosphere with what you did choose, but the drums sound very "studio" rather than "Tribal" to me. The rhythms are quite cool.

The roars sound a little tongue-in-cheek to me, you could probably get them to sound more aggressive by working in some menacing breathing and more subtle effects and then maybe building up to a roar or something. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing this; please check out some of my tracks if you are so inclined :D

Step responds:

Yeah, I made this when I had bad jungle samples and didn't know how to EQ/barely knew how to add effects. Now if I wanted to I could make some epic jungle song which is out of this world, hehe xD. Ahh, the roars. Now that you mentioned it, I totally agree with you. I'm really picturing a part in this song where the song goes quiet, and slowly builds up to a powerful rhythm with a huge and majestic lion roar. Thanks for the helpful review, it's hard to get one of those nowadays :D. Reviewed your awesome 'Sleepy Village' track, I hope you liked my review :D. I'd say more about the song, but I was out of characters xP. Thanks again, I'm glad you found this song decent! :).
