Hey everyone. Another song! Turn the Pages. Yep, you guessed it... Another song by my friend Erik and I. It's the combination of the songs we did. I really hope you all enjoy it. It took us five days to do, but in the end we thought it was worth it. Now it's up to you to show us if we were right. Have fun listening!

Man you liked that shitty piano and guitar synths didn't you. But I'm hearing a few other instruments too, and they're actually playing together and giving each other space, which is something even more experienced bands neglect. And I'm glad you were quick to change your drum kit to something more acoustic-like, even if it sounds like it's from a Casio toy keyboard. The drum beat still plays the same rhythm as the piano, which as i mentioned previously is kinda cute

Oh and it clips like fuck. haha

Step responds:

Haha yeah I was still using MIDI instruments at the time, don't forget :P. Those only have one piano sample and a small handful of guitar samples.

The composition on here isn't too bad considering this is like my third ever song. But it does clip yeah - Sky Falcons used to clip like crazy too, but I fixed that a few months later. This, however, I never fixed.

Also how is it cute that the drums and piano play the same rhythm that's like the worst idea ever :(.

My last accounts review is still below. I covered the bulk of my opinion there, and I have to be honest. I never did finish writting that book. I was WAY too lazy back then and I should have knew it too. Bah... Nice song, it shows a lot in my music reviews but I like to listen and comment on the instruments, because after all, the instruments are what make up the song. I have this one downloaded. The choice of instruments are fairly basic but they seam to suit the song very well indeed.

The tune was nice in itself, it has some fairly good transitions which keeps it interesting. I might also add, intentional or not, it seams to loop pretty smoothly. Which isnt all to common with songs like this I have to say. But thats sliding off point slightly. 10/10 and 5/5

Step responds:

My friend and I never finished (in fact we barely started) the Sky Falcons book which we had been planning on writing for a long while.

This song is kinda loud and clips a lot like Ghost Walker too. I'm surprised you have it downloaded because personally I can't bear listening to it lol.

Although this song does give me quite a lot of nostalgia. It also reminds me how far I got from making this crap. Now I like to think I make slightly less pungent crap :3.

Thanks for the review!

Pretty good!

The name seams to suit it very well, I like the choices of instruments and ill be sure to check out your book, its interesting because im writting a book myself. About ninjas, my favorite thing in films and books. And the song is really good, I really want to get round to listening to all your music because the songs I have listened to so far are awesome, but there are just so many, you are a really good musician!

Step responds:

Thanks man! This is actually a really really old song :P.

But glad you like it. I really appreciate you checking out my stuff!

another decent track

Now here is another good track, and really nice work with the piano, you really seem to know what you are doing here with the keyes once again, and i also like the mixture and variaty that it sometimes has, so props to you there on that aspect of things, also enjoy how you do try and make a song out of it and such, the "PIANO" work seems to be my fave, I dont review much audio but i am becoming a fan of your work, so i hope theres lots of goodies in your other works, now as to improve on this one, i would suggest adding more changes when new sounds come in, something that would just really change up the tone of things, but thats more just me, overall its pretty good stuff, keep up the good work.

Maybe change up the tune just abit now and then throughout the track. raise the sound abit on the piano so its abit more dominating.

Step responds:

Wow, you're good at reviews :P.

Yeah I used to spend a lot of time in front of the piano thinking up melodies. Now I just go in front of a computerized piano roll and invent melodies which don't take as long, so I'm glad you like the melody.

Glad you like the piano, it's my favourite instrument xD.

These are all my MIDI songs, so to be honest I'm surprised you actually like them. If you want to hear what I can do now, you should check out 'Racing Through Eternity' if you like Trance, 'Land of Kings' if you like Classical and 'Cobra' if you like Classical Rock (well mostly orchestral instruments with powerful rock drums).

Thanks for reviewing!

dear god man what did you do with your volume! It's much too loud and peaking! Also this one sounds the same as the last one - did you just reupload it again, or possibly make minor changes to it??

either way not big on this one.. too many peaking issues for my liking.

Step responds:

It's quite different from the first one, but has the same intro and some parts which are the same, yeah :(. Anyway, I know what you mean. We recorded this, since the program we were using either was unable to render a file, or we didn't know how :\. So yeah, quality would be awful. Thanks for the review nevertheless.
