Ahh!!! It's so good, but so short!!!
Just something I did when I'm supposed to be sleeping. I hate it when all my good ideas come in the most awkward times. Anyhow, it's been a while since I actually made a song because inspiration hit me, and not for someone else or some game or something, so here it is. A little loop which I worked quite a bit on. It's supposed to have a catchy melody, but still reminds you of Japanese... stuff.
Uses Ethnoworld 3 for everything except the strings in the background which are East/West Symphonic Orchestra Silver.
Enjoy my surprisingly hard work :P. By the way, I looped this perfectly and made the filesize flash-friendly (alliteration unintended), so if anyone's making something Japanese related then feel free to use this. Was inspired by Okami's ridiculously good soundtrack.
Ahh!!! It's so good, but so short!!!
Haha, I'm glad you like it though. Thanks for reviewing!
I know what you mean. When I'm sleep deprived is when my I can think clearest and my creativity is at it's max.
Yep! Shame it's so counter-intuitive haha. I wish I'd actually get good ideas when I'm actually awake enough to properly conceive them.
Thanks for reviewing!
Really great music. Better than most Japanese songs, but if you listen closely, you could hear when the song was beginning again. Great work overall.
Yeah! This doesn't loop perfectly, since the reverb tail just cuts off. Still, I'm glad you like it!
yep, perfect loop! best japanese music ive heard in a LONG time! oh and yeah those fake japanese musics in NG, whats with saying "oh hey! dis is a japanese song!" and when you listen to it, its nothing compared to Japan's actual music! sorry for complaining, just had to
Well, I'm glad you think it sounds authentic! Thanks for reviewing :3.
Excellent loop.
Was hunting through sound loops on Newgrounds for possible candidates to use in an intro sequence for my Tokyo-based podcast, and this one hits home so much more than the rest of the clips I've listened to. Admittedly, a lot of clips are TOO Japanese (believe me, once you've lived here long enough you begin to notice what IS Japanese and what PRETENDS to be Japanese by overplaying it). This one might be a little guilty of that, but I think it's so well executed that no one could ever accuse it of that in good conscience.
I hope you don't mind if we snag this little loop for our podcast.
Lol. Really glad you found this then, and I hope it's useful!
Yeah I see exactly what you mean about overplaying the Japanese style. I'm no good at mimicking styles so I just go for the typical instrumentation and try and make it sound good with my rather amateur musical knowledge :3.
Thanks for the review, much appreciated!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
