Lyrics (when i find a singer):
Time has passed, but I,
Still remember where you lie.
All those deeds you've done.
For me, the one, your one and only
Lover, I will sing up on high.
And I'll know, you'll fly.
Watching me, free,
I love you eternally.
When I first started making this song (7/24/2024) I was still in the glitch-hop mood. So this was the second time I tried glitch-hop. This song took forever, because I was learning so many new things and incorporating it into the song.
I wanted to make it similar to TheFatRat's old style, a mix of electronic and orchestral. I learned so much in the process, even learning more on how to make lyrics! There's no singing in here, but there is a set melody for any future singers, and a melody for them to sing! Maybe I'll post the version with a fake singer in it for reference.
There is lore to this song, but I'm not going to say anything. Find out for yourselves! ;)
Production-wise, I've improved quite a bit. Although I loved this song while making it, now I'm not sure if it's really that good. Oh well! Post and continue learning! I hope you enjoy it at least!
BPM: 110
What I learned:
1. This is the song where I learned how to raise the volume to professional levels!
2. LUFs
3. (Terribly) Video editing lyrics
4. Learning more about rhyme and how to make lyrics!
5. Pluck layering
6. Small improvements on supersaws and layering them
7. Lots of improvement on mixing, still terrible at it though lol
8. Using Spitfire LABs' versatile and unique sounds for the orchestral part!
9. Directing an "orchestra" for the instrumental
10. Low trombones really can make things sound epic and grand
11. Building up back to the electronic part with some moving filters!
12. How to use FL Studio's pitch shifter to autotune vocals (IT'S REALLY GOOD)
13. Setting the song to mono, listening to it, and mixing it accordingly with that method
14. Similar stop and go thing that I did in Summer
15. Some fun chiptune ear candy
16. Mixing flutes and strings into the electronic part
17. Some compression
18. Some mastering
19. Fade editing controls for the drums
20. Autotune
21. Basic vocal mixing (compression, reverb, i forgot the rest)
Time spent: 27 hours 19 minutes total
