It is really good but I can’t hear the kick. And honestly none of the elements stand out. But it has potential. DM me and I can walk through how to clean up your mix and techniques for processing. What DAW do you use?
@thisisthefatrat songs are so good, he's one of my favorite artists. One of the things that got him famous was his glitch hop tracks. So, using Unity and Windfall as reference tracks, I tried my hand at making glitch-hop myself. I used @Composerily 's glitch-hop tutorial as well. The vocal chops were inspired by @softable
I've been wanting to release this for a while. It's been done for a long time. I just needed to release the remasters first.
BPM: 110
What I learned:
1. How to make Glitch-Hop
2. How to use dubstep growls
3. Layering chord synths to get that glitch-hop feel
4. Lots of mixing and mastering
5. Sometimes simpler is better when video editing
6. Vocal chops!
7. Lots of (attempted) sound design
8. Using harder hitting "dubstep" snares
Time spent: 13 hours 12 minutes

Agreed, I've gotten feedback that the drums could be louder. I use FL Studio 2024.
I'm coming from the review for review thread. I think this song does an amazing job with transitions and variety. The melody stands out from the rest of the track and is very well designed. I really like the progression in the part after the soft-piano. I really don't have any suggestions to improve the track, as it is already one of my favorite Chipstep songs.
Really! That's awesome to hear! Thanks so much for taking a listen!
