And a new song appears! So, yeah, it's been a minute. I've been working hard on my YouTube stuff, getting all my metal video game covers up. As a result, I've not really had time to dedicate towards original music, such as this. Coupled with a rather tough semester of college beginning for me, and... well, time? What's that, and how can you "have" it? I kid, but really I've been super busy, my main focus being my mixing abilities. After months and months of messing with some new equipment and mixing stuff, I finally got the sound I want!

It's been a long time since I've done an original composition like this. The last time I did a song with dedicated melodies not built into the background chords was back when I released Swallow My Pride, of which a melody is in this song. Nothing like reusing music, eh? It worked, so that's good! Anyway, I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time, but I just can't write music the same way I did two or three years ago. But, over the course of several hours of work, I finally got a selection of melodies I think work really well for this song. I tried to keep it interesting, but it needed a bit of repetition to keep it grounded.

I don't know what this song is about. I heard it kind of as a boss battle theme in my head while I was writing it, but it doesn't really have a theme. I also had a few motifs running through my head that I'll likely be reusing in different ways as time goes on, so keep an ear out for those. All of the next songs I release on Newgrounds will have melodies in common. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
