The goal was to make a detective themed track that captures the stereotype of New York based detectives in shows. Not sure why I chose this theme instead of a “big city” idea but is is what happened. I do wish I did a little more in the second half, but it’s fine regardless. Enjoy!

edit: the problem with this song is really subtle, but I think I found it. The chord progression has a resolution literally every measure, destroying any sense of story in the song even more than a pop song would. Not sure why I chose this, as I’m normally extremely against the hated “four chords”, but I know now to avoid that.

edit 2: I forgot to add backstory. Originally I actually made a decent sounding jazz song, but in a save error I lost nearly all my progress; I scrapped that project and this was its replacement.
