I know I say this all the time, but this is the best thing I believe I’ve ever made. The atmosphere is done here, especially with the foreboding and mysterious intro, then it devolves into pure chaos and conflict. I intentionally made this song with interpretation in mind; different people may experience different things when listening to this, and I think that’s the real beauty in music. My personal read is that you’re lost in the Nevada desert, looking for a place to stay, the sun is scorching and the heat nearly unbearable (that’s what the sound effects in the intro try to represent), then you find one but it’s infested by either criminals or something, then you and them fight to the death and they win in the end.

This song sounds EXTREMELY different than anything I’ve ever done. Back in early 2019 I made a dubstep track on my first account, hated it, and never made one again. I decided that in order to truly accomplish what I wanted for the last few 50Steaks songs, I would need to buy the expansions, and so I did. I now have access to an orchestra (may take advantage of that in the future) and new leads/plucks, the latter two of which were used in this song. In fact, other than supersaw, all instruments came from either the pluck pack or the lead pack. That’s part of the reason why this took so long to make.

By far the most obvious difference between this and previous songs is the drop. I decided to go wild and add a hardstyle bass sound that really separates this song from the rest of the pack in my opinion. Let me know how it sounds, I am curious to see the response. Enjoy!

Edit 3: 1200 listens (and growing)?! This is now the most popular song I have ever released, finally surpassing Distracted from September 2020 on another account. Never in my life did I expect quite this much support. Saying thank you is beating a dead horse at this point, but thanks anyway!

Edit 4: here lies Nevada, which has somehow gained 5,000 listens. There were no external forces that propelled this one into popularity, so I’m unsure how it happened. Well thanks, Nevada, for bringing attention to my series in general.
