In one of my earliest conceptualizations of Bethany. She had been a reincarnated elder god.

This is no longer canon, but I was finally able to give her a "true form"

If she ever had to tap into her true power. It would be incredibly rare, but is would be the last things anyone would see. 

I took inspiration from Lovecraft's elder gods, shubniggurath. The Black goat with a thousand young. 

She may not have children herself, but a part of her lives on in her nieces. Past down though a kind of soul link she has established.
