History, Factoids, and Quirks

• Camilla was raised mainly by her grandparents. Who passed away shortly after she obtained her PHD.
• She inherited their house and still lives there, despite everyone saying she should sell it.
• The house contains a massive collection of antiques and antiquities that her grandparents had obtained over their lifetime. Which is what inspired her love of history and preservation.
• Has more of an acquaintance relationship with her parents. She’s not entirely sure what they do, just that they mingle with a lot of rich and powerful people. Possibly con artists.
• Took fencing lessons for nearly 20 years and took silver in a national tournament 3 years in a row.
• She has an extensive Lingerie collection, which she wears for herself and enjoys the feeling of straps.
• Is curious about BDSM, and Dom/Sub dynamics.
• Is the target of thieves, break-ins, and kidnappings.

There is a low level of supernatural existence in her world. The gods may have been real at some point, but they seem to have either vanished or diminished to an exponential degree. Magic used to exist much more heavily in the world, but technological advancements have caused magical potential in the world to dwindle to the point that most people think magic was never real. Since technology is bound by natural and physical law, and magic needs to warp, alter, and break all conventional laws of reality. The more technology there is in an area, the less potent magic can become if not outright suppressed.
