This commission piece was inspired by the many wonderful commissions of wildcard4774 and gh0st-of-ronin

Lighting has always been a favorite and Aya is an equally fascinating character in her own right. While this outfit is from, the third Birthday, a game with a LOT of problems and killed the series. It’s still a good outfit and I thought could be repurposed for an interesting crossover. No real story, just flavor text.

In some universe, T3B never happened and Aya is still working for the NYPD. Aya is tasked to go undercover to infiltrate a smuggling ring. Supposedly handled by a biker gang.

Joining her is a fresh transfer from another precinct, Claire Farron. But usually addressed as light or lightning. A nickname she picked up from her days at the academy.

At first, they don’t know what to make of each other. But their strong personalities and take no bullshit attitude has them working together almost perfectly in sync. The only major concern Aya has is using her abilities in front of her new partner. The two of them had successfully infiltrated the gang and for the next several weeks attempted to earn their loyalty and rise the ranks.

While the too of them were snooping around one of their warehouses for more evidence to speed things along. The two detectives finally discovered the location of their smuggling operations. Unfortunately, they were also discovered by the gang as well. They were suspicious of them from the start and wanted to lead them into a trap.

The undercover cops were subdued and tossed in the back of a semi-trailer to be dealt with properly.

In their rush to have them taken away, the gang failed to check the two of them properly. Lightning having a hidden knife in the sole of her boot. After a few frustrating minutes, she was able to free her hidden blade and got to work on cutting away at Aya’s bonds.

After lightning and Aya freed themselves. They got to work on formulating a plan once they arrived at their destination. Realizing that if they failed that it would be the end for both. Aya revealed her abilities to lightning. At first, the pinkette was surprised, but then she gave a rare smile and demonstrated her own abilities, “Guess I’m not the only one.”

~Several hours later~

It was 4 o’clock in the morning as the leaders of the smuggling operation were being carried out on stretchers. While the two undercover cops sat off to the sides as paramedics looked them over. Both of whom were a bit banged up, but no worse for wear. Leaning against each other for some support as Aya’s old partner, Daniel Dollis stood by, “Good job, to both of you.”
