Dinosaur Great War Izenborg No8 - Torara Ranho and Torako

Share

Torara the Trachodon, Ranho the Rhamphorhynchus and Torako the Trachodon (Torara's son) were a trio of DinoKaiju who were featured in Ep.8 of the Dinosaur Great War Izenborg, been the 12th, 13th and 14th Monsters to appear in this ordered.

Torara and Torako were a mother and offspring Trachodon, and shared the same abilities, such as fire breathing, though Torako was a new born and was least skilled at fighting, while its Mother showed to be a considerable jumper. Torara is the first female Dinosaur and (sort of) defector in the series, though her presence is brief. When Torako is born, it demonstrated the Dinosaurs evolution helped them bypass development and growth into adulthood, growing immediately after birth.

Ranho was a Rhamphorhynchus; besides flight, it possess telepathic abilities and was able to control a General in the episode. He is the first Dinosaur killed at the hand of a human other than D-Squad.

The Episode starts in the middle of the night near a base when Torara appearing in the middle of a lake and lays an Egg, which she keeps hidden (It is stated in her wiki character article she defected, to have her hatchling away from Ururu, however, the lack of subtitles make it difficult to confirm this as a motive) - Torara then proceeds to attack the country side, likely keeping the area around her egg safe; D-Squad is deploy to battle Torara, but the siblings, not wanting to cause an explosion of the bases fuel (or chemicals) tank, IzenCross and take on Torara as Izenborg.

Torara Jumps, then Docks their attack runs, but turning her back on them, Izenborg comes in and rips through her - comically, Torara gets to see the star shape hole in its torso before exploding – she did had one last word, but sadly can't translate it.

Despite her efforts to have her egg hidden, Ururu kept watch of the situation and send Rahno the Rhamphorhynchus to look over the egg – the new Dinosaur then takes control of the base's General, who was in training at his home and captures Prof. Torii, taking him to his residence, where the Professor sees he is under the Dinosaur's control. The following morning the Egg hatches into a new Trachodon, Torako, who rapidly grows into a full adult and goes on the attack now under command of Ururu (I assume Ururu told him of his mother's death at the hand of the humans) – Rahno guides Torako to the base where it destroys the tank division.

D-Squad deploys and fights the new Trachodon, but are halted when Rahno appears, holding Prof. Torii in his talons. Torako grabs the Izenborg Tank and tosses them away; the IzenTwo Unit deploys and goes after Rahno as IzenOne deals with Torako and the sibling rapidly IzenCross; Izenborg-Go makes minor cuts with the Folding Cutters, but severed the tip of his tail. Meanwhile, IzenTwo, while following Rahno, zaps the General with an laser beam, breaking him free of his hypnosis; remembering what has happened, the General rapidly helps out by striking Rahno with a swing of his sword, decapitating it, helping free Torii as the headless Rhamphorhynchus crashes (what a Mad Lad the Chad).

The General then dashes towards Torako, throwing its sword to the Trachodon's eye before he is burn away to death by the Dinosaur. The Siblings take the chance and cuts Torako in half with Izen Spinning Cutter (they actually have the Izenborg spinning, it quite a dumb move and makes no sense even in the context of this show) – Torako's upper body falls and explodes.

Later, Torii and D-Squad pay their respects to the General, who lost his life trying to save them.
