Homsar Compilation

That's right, folks, Element's not the only thing I make art of! One of my favorite websites of all time is this wonderful brainchild of Matt and Mike Chapman, www.homestarrunner.com. I love the idea of this goofy, yet believable kinda-kid's book-but-not-really-stop-using-so-many-hyphens world inhabited by these dumb animal characters. They've actually been a big inspiration to my art style, as I always loved the sleek, vector graphics used on the distinct character designs. Now I'm personally not a vector user, but I do like distinct characters. And one of them has been stuck in my head more than a song from the sixties...

Anyways, I've dedicated this work to one to the most distinct of them all, Free country USA's favorite blue midget Homestar, Homsar! What else can I say about him? He speaks in more word salads than a They Might be Giants album (Which is fitting considering how close the Chapman bros. are to the band members), He's a proud advocate for the ever-popular Bauhaus 93 font, and he plays the theremin. Oh, also, he regularly breaks the laws of physics.

... What? Not all of these are gonna be a college essay's worth of description, okay? Sometimes I see funny character, and I draw funny character.

The weirdest character in all of Homestar history. Just think, he came into being when someone misspelled Homestar's name in one of Strong Bad's emails.

CapitalE22 responds:

I know, right? The fact that he's part of the main cast after that is just one of the things that makes the whole homestar series special to me.
