Reviews for "The Deepest Sleep"

it is pretty spooky . I know its a horror game but i got to say that i don't find it as enjoyable when i can't see the screen .

but not bad

The problem with horror games is that you never know player's screen brightness. But you can increase in-game brightness in options :)

Definitely the most lack luster, most straightforward, and shortest of the series. However I still enjoyed it and actually liked it more than I have the previous ones (mostly because I'd end up getting lost or stuck). The plot this time around didn't have any of the extra harrumph that I've come to expect from Deep(er) Sleep in the past and the ending served only to highlight the lack of more sophisticated undertones.

Still, it is without doubt a worthy entry for simply concluding the series. I think it's meant to be played soon after the previous one. Excellent work, excellent art, but just not something that can stand on its own as well as its predecessors.

Jumpscares c-c

Although I did like this game, I didn't find it as appealing as the previous two; it's as if you didn't put as much care on this game as in the previous ones and this were a quickly done thing.

The game is too linear, leaving little room for exploration. You just do a series of steps sequentially, rather than exploring lots of rooms and retrieving lots of items, having to figure out which does which. You can't even go back most of the times to explore other parts. Also, the game is too short.

Although there are two alternative endings, there doesn't seem to be much freedom in what happens (also I'm not 100% OK with the endings; didn't like what happens; but that's just me).

The game isn't very clear in some aspects; for example it's a bit confusing when it says that I was that all the time (it sounded it meant "in all the games", not just the last one). Also in some small details; for example, how did I leave a note for myself?

The part in which you have to swap gems to open doors (and then go back) is quite tedious. The doors aren't even animated. (I've also noticed that if you stay there too long "darkness will consume you" and you die; however there's no progress bar for this; it'd be nice to have a quite shorter time to do the tasks with a progress bar that goes down).

Why is the stool at the opposite corner of the room as the clown? It'd make more sense that the stool were next to the clown lying on the floor, as if he had committed suicide.

There's a blank paper on the floor in the room where the screwdriver is; is it supposed to have something?

The creepy figure at the intro may use some more artistic effort; it's not creepy at all.

(The flashlight 3D-ish effect on the walls is cool though.)

Sorry for the negative feedback (please do not take it too seriously), and congratulations anyway for the 3 games! I liked them a lot. You did a great job, thank you!

Not the best game I ever played, but it's creepy as creepy can be.
