Reviews for "Cosmic Clicks"

Fun little "Cookie Clicker" inspired time waster. The banter between the characters is what really set this apart from the rest. Looking forward to the Boss 101 sequel (and like kingwayner said, an RPG featuring these two plus an expanded cast would be awesome).

The only complaint I have is the complete and utter waste that is "Scanners".... seriously, they are expensive, yet give next to NOTHING in terms of speed output (seriously, I have it fully tricked out with 100 Scanners and all the upgrades for it yet I only get 160 units per second? That is wack, yo!)

DarkTimmy responds:

Hey thanks! I appreciate the comments! Like Boss 101 this was a learning experience and taught me a lot about the clicker type games. I'm considering another since this seems to be getting a positive reception. if that happens I'll definitely look to improve a lot of the little touches! Thank you again and take care! Best, -Tim

Well, I have 2x click on my mouse and a laptop mouse pad, so you my say I fucking beat the shit out of this game!

DarkTimmy responds:

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Yah - I bet you did. When I was making the game I had to test out a bunch of clickers. Can you believe there was a way to program it so any auto clicker didn't work? I though "Naw, that's lame - LET 'EM AUTO-CLICK! Thanks for playing and hope you enjoyed it! Best, -Tim

This flash game isn't bad, it is very original also because it's part of the unique flash games called "idle games". I like the concept idea, it gets a bit boring at middle-end game, but it's still fun to play. Good work. You deserve 4 stars.

DarkTimmy responds:

Thank so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Steve and Max are really run to write and I had a blast working on this game. It was a nice break in the "Boss 101" universe! Thank you for the rating and the comment! Best, -Tim

I really do enjoy these idle games and they help me realise how long I have actually been studying for. I like the concept, and the dialogue helps to keep the game flowing when I get an upgrade. One criticism is that once you have the number of parts, the actual upgrade parts seem very inexpensive, increasing the cost would have kept the game 'idle' for longer.

DarkTimmy responds:

Agree! I did a little tuning to make this game shorter than the normal idle game. It was a choice between the idea of finishing this or letting the game go for a long time. A couple more expensive upgrades would have made it go a lot longer I agree. As an aside a tune right before release had the game at about two weeks due to the costs and pacing. Personally, I think that was too long but if I do a sequel and 'go long' I will look to add a lot of story stuff to help pass the time away! I appreciate the comment and the rating! Thank you!!! Best, -Tim

This was pretty fun. There was a lot of clicking to do, but with each upgrade the Jet packs kept getting funnier and funnier. The graphics were nice and retro in style. I would not mind seeing a second part to this game, hopefully where I do not have to sit and click for long periods of time to beat the game. I would like to see those space pirates and rabbits, that would be pretty nice. Great game, fun medals, good times.

DarkTimmy responds:

HA! Thanks - I agree the dialog sorta hits a groove later in the game, glad you enjoyed it! A sequel s planned at the moment too! Thank you for the play and the comment! I appreciate your time! Best, -Tim
