Reviews for "Cosmic Clicks"

Well, I have 2x click on my mouse and a laptop mouse pad, so you my say I fucking beat the shit out of this game!

DarkTimmy responds:

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Yah - I bet you did. When I was making the game I had to test out a bunch of clickers. Can you believe there was a way to program it so any auto clicker didn't work? I though "Naw, that's lame - LET 'EM AUTO-CLICK! Thanks for playing and hope you enjoyed it! Best, -Tim

fun game there are somethings you can improve on but honestly i loved this game sam and max's dialogue kept me going when i had to get the final upgrades amazing game man!

DarkTimmy responds:

Thanks so much! The game was a total blast to make and Steve and Max were my favorite part. it was this game that convinced me to do a sequel to Boss 101 sooner than later. Coming back to those two was so much fun and made me miss Boss 101. Thank you for the rating and the comment! Totally appreciate it! Best, -Tim

I liked the format of this clicker, as well as the upgrade system. My biggest complaint is that once you obtain your first "computer" upgrade, the game floods you with speed from that point forward (which means it's too easy to win afterwards).

All in all, very enjoyable!

I really enjoyed it. However, I did have 2 issues, one small, the other not so much. the first would be some more background changes. Maybe have a set distance across the galaxy? Second, saving. This may be a local issue, but whenever I exited the game it didn't save my progress. Other than that, it was a good game, I liked the dialogue and upgrades.

DarkTimmy responds:

Hey! Thanks for the rating and the comment. I agree about the backgrounds! A few more certainly wouldn't have hurt. Next time around (if there is a sequel) there will be more 'travel stuff'. As for the saving. That is odd. The game does save locally in your browser cache and I wonder if you are getting it cleared each time you play. To be clear - your saves are not stored at Newgrounds.com. Anything like an ad blocker to a program like Sandboxie might block the save. I don't know though - I'll check into it. I use an ad blocker and things seem OK. Hmmmm. Thanks so much for the rating and the play! I really appreciate it! -Tim

2 and a half hours of this. It was alright, i mainly left it running while i did other thing though. I'd try and make it so that the active clicker has something going for him/her besides just a few extra points towards the end.

DarkTimmy responds:

Yep, I was thinking about how to twizzle this type of game to allow some reward for active clicking versus passive clicking. I have a couple ideas about it. Might do a sequel to this just to test them out. You and others have inspired me to look into what I can do with this genre still. Thanks for the rating and the comment. I appreciate it! Best, -Tim
