i have played a few of these now but I am disappointed that the medals do not work but not really worried about them. I found that it had a degree of difficulty involved in the obtaining of water and armour but that added to the realism. the art work was alright but it would have been better if there was slightly more o add to the theme. also I grew a moustache during the game?
pro tip* I found I gathered more water when I travelled. armour is lost easily so ramp up the attack and use medkits if it ever comes to that.

This is the type of game I like where you have to make a plan on how to use your supplies properly and move on until you get to the finish.
I ended the game with 126 (!!!) water supplies, the only issue about this is, apparently, the guy doesn't know how to "search for water", instead, he can search for everything except for the valuable liquid, you should add an option to search for water, even if it takes a little success % to get.
You can practically live off medikits and food, I wonder why the guy hasn't died of dehydration halfway through the game...
For some reason, the "crazy guy" encounter doesn't award you the supplies for the first time, afterwards, the next "crazy guy" encounters will award you the items, you should check the coding in this area.
Medals are not registering, so far, I've gotten the doctor, the steak and workout party thing, the badass group, the lone guy, the safehouse, and many others... Even when finishing the game there's a highscore error, meaning that, or you didn't correctly linked newgrounds highscores with your game, or something is interrupting the connection. You should try checking that area too and contact Newgrounds about the matter.
Overall, the game is really good, but it's a bit unbalanced and requires some testing on it, so far, the only guy who has the medals are the author, that might mean he only played the game instead of letting other play it as a beta.
I'll give this game a 3/5 for the reasons above.

Nice game, but;
as ragnarock said; no medals and water is too rare, but there are plenty of medikids so:
rest; +4 energy -5 health, refresh health with medikid.... very (VERY!) borring if you want to refill 90 energy. Also armor and weaponupgrades are very rare and i guess luck takes a too huge part in this game. After all well made game with a nice atmosphere, but also borring and monotonous.

There are still some issues though:
1. Crazy man doesn't give any stuff no matter what dialogue option you select
2. Finished the game, but it just said ERROR
3. Some art is a bit sloopy (the zombos) and small (I'd like to see the Doctor fullpage :)
4. Water is so rare, but not needed afterall - medkits heal waterless rest and it's easy to find them
5. No medals
