love 8 bit but the game can use some work, the music is good but you wining depends on how many swords don't fall on you some times its impossible to doge them and i need how many lives you have bar.

A very good start. Some feedback:
* Jake doesn't seem to have any arms?
* I don't really like how to start in mid-air. Can you update it so you start on the ground?
* Would prefer a death animation, I don't like getting jerked all the way to the beginning when I get hit.
* An Instructions Screen would be cool. (Yes I realize you listed the instructions in your submission.)
* Story Conflict, as far as I am aware, there is only 1 BMO. It doesn't make much sense to be finding multiple ones. Maybe replace BMO with one of each princess or something generic like equipment, or chests.

the swords came down heavier than niagra falls, and the controls were slippery. not bad, but could be a lot better. good job for a first try.
