Reviews for "BitBoy - Greenfields"

It was a fun game once you realized that pressing the space bar suddenly scrolled the screen until it was a lovely shade of white. Interesting choice to not allow control over the ladders, as soon as you climb them, you are going to keep doing so enemies be damned. I do kind of wish there was a jump button so it could be a platformer, but it was a neat timing game none the less.

This is obviously experimental. Not sure why this achieved front page, but pixelated games have been taking trend as of late. What is unfortunate is that it lacks any form of puzzles, gravity, or jumping/advanced obstacles, firmly making it an adventure game and not a retro platformer as it appears. The mechanics are very flat and the difficulty quite mediocre. I also encountered a glitch in the 2nd level where I was under the impression of jumping or other acrobatics and pressed space. This scrolled the level into an empty white space for unknown reasons, making it unplayable. What the hell.

In any case, it is a WIP and remains as such for the time being.

6/10, 3/5.

Errrm So I didn't even play it i don't know how do i start
Well first is HOW do you even start the game?
I play enter bra bra bra it just stuck at this menu with a music
If that is all you got for 4 kb files
Then it fine for me xD
I can't even create anything at 4 kb files not even text documents
How the hell did you put these music and art at 4 kb files

ZeroTolerance64x responds:

The Game Starts if you click on the play button ^^ sorry for the confusing menu design. The 4kb file is the html file the game is 2.8 mb sized with music :).

its an pretty allricht game not bad not good but its fun for a few minutes
still the music is a bit of an annoying loop and everything is pretty small but i enjoyed it

Initially the lack of a jump mechanic got on my nerves, but I realised that the absence of one demands lightning reactions from the player, and after I got the hang of sprinting for ladders, I personally enjoyed the challenge! What brings this game down, in my own opinion, is the sensitivity of the controls! You can let go of the arrow key and still coast / slide into an enemy which is very frustrating when you get so far into a level! As well as this I have died when not touching enemies, merely being close to them, which is equally infuriating, when you need to be close to enemies to walk under them on the upward bounce.

ZeroTolerance64x responds:

Thanks for the review well the collisions shapes are really common and fixed ^^.
