this game was very easy. kinda spooky like when i first noticed the specter thing.
I found this game extremely simplistic, which isn't always bad, but not very entertaining. The first time I saw one of those ghouls chasing me I jumped a bit, because I wasn't expecting it, but after that I was pretty much just walking around randomly and jumping over the ghouls. Not very scarey and the sound could use some more to it so it's not as repetitive. Sorry, but personally, I just didn't care for the game.

Very ghoulish game! You were right, definitely needs lights off and fullscreen. Thank you for making a toggle for that. Also, thanks for making such a spooky game! I will say that I found myself getting sort of lost, but then again I'm terrible at maze games. But even still, perhaps a mini-map would have been helpful? I'm impressed by the size and fluidity of the map, however.
I love how freaky the sound effects and ambient music is. The weird random screams, buzzings, and synth really remind me of those spooky Halloween tapes we used to get to answer the door with spooky sounds for trick or treaters.

gfx - 7 (really great atmosphere, but not drawings)
sfx - 10 (it's still playing in the background and scaring the hell out of me)
design - 8.5 (great design, but could use mini-map)
gameplay - 8 (very enthralling game, in spite of simple design)
overall, this is a heart-racing game that really makes you want to get that next lamp lit ASAP...cause you just never know what's around the corner. This game takes advantage of "the little things", which are often overlooked in many games.
