not that it seems an AWFUL like a metroid remake with more ermmm blockier graphics but...
Gameplay was alright. I would have liked this game more if it didn't follow one of many downers of games.... and that's making you go back to the same place to get something repeatedly. Even more so i disliked the fact that you repeated the same knight boss twice, one as the final fight, here i wouldn't have cared if i fought the knight before another final boss... But putting the same boss with the same skills except slightly stronger as the final boss made my impression much worse.
I was expecting to fight a boss where i would have to utilize the items i got and maybe hook at the ceiling when the boss charged in a line or the mine to break a hole in the ground when the boss tries to explode or something like that, but really any other boss is fine. Ending just seemed very anti-climatic and rushed.
Other points i found frustrating was.
1. I couldn't blow up those annoying flying crap with missiles until i got the second one. It's not even like those flying guys had any importance to them to be immune to getting 5000 bullets lodged in them.
2. That green bubble thing that you can only kill with a hook and not a GUN. Vice Versa, i can't kill some monsters hurt other monsters with the hook? i expected i was able to maybe like hook the fish (since you know hook + fish = makes sense)
3. The mine being practically useless. I was expecting it to explode when enemy stepped on it which is what i believe is the proper function of a mine. I can shoot the gun and fire tons of missile at once but you're telling me i can only put down one mine at a time?
4. That frog... I wanted to kill that frog after his annoying excuse with his stupid smile after beating him. I can hurt him with a hook but not missiles or guns? Is it some kind of Superfrog except his weakness are hooks instead of kryptonite? I find these restrictions very annoying. Sure missile 1 not being able to destroy a wall cause its not strong enough makes sense, or a that dinosaur's thick skin might of been resistant or immune to bullets but not the explosive mine... but a fleshy frog....
5. Most of the music made me cringe.
6. Making the texts pink made me not want to read it at all.
These are couple of reasons why i rated this low. Checked this game out cause i saw it on the front page.
