very nice game, but the backtracking is too annoying. i know it's something inherent with the genre of metroidvania, but it's not a good thing in this game, where you can't even level up or anything while backtracking like in SoTN, it's merely tiresome.

This is a very good game with fun gameplay and good art and music. However, some points in the game are just way too hard and frustrate me to no end.
It was a fairly decent game.
The programming was very well written, the design was intreasting with neon line art, certainly is a less explored style within these retro inspired games, and had a pretty intreasting storyline.
The gameplay was pretty good, but the difficulty spike is just absurd, often leading you into many unprepared battles.

This game just goes to show how flashy graphics and 3D Animations are not required to make a masterpiece. The game takes on a style similar to that of Metroid, while also having a unique twist with the retro graphics. The music adds to this ambience by utilizing 8 and 16 bit sound bytes. After the game is beaten, however, you will be able to close the window and move on fairly quickly. All in all, this is a great game that is sure to waste multiple hours of your day as you try and complete it, even if it only means playing it one time. Because it has great presentation and style, even though replayability is low, this game gets 4 stars out of 5.
