Fun Stuff

This is a great game and I enjoyed playing it.

The graphics and the music give it a fun, retro atmosphere. It definitely hits the low-fi mark. Reminded me of the kind of thing they had on the original Game Boy.

As people have said, the difficulty spikes when the one-block slippery cliffs come into play (although I guess that's why there's an easy mode). I eventually made it through by jumping as soon as I hit the tiles to get a distance boost, but sometimes the X key felt unresponsive on the cliffs (maybe it's my keyboard, or my slow fingers). Other than that, the gameplay was just right.

The story was minimalistic, and the ending made me smile.

Good job! If you made this in two weeks, I'd like to see what you could do with more time.

I don't mean to be mean but the game sucks a little only one reason:
the jumping sucks i can't even pass the wasteland stage cause of the jumping
but the music it if AWESOME
i would give it 5 stars but the problem with jumping - .5
keep it up man

Miktar responds:

There is an element to the jumping that I realized not many people get, is that if you 'jump in' on a downward slope and then jump once you hit it, it 'flings' you forward - the ski-jump. If you did not know about that, it might explain why some jumps seemed impossible.

I like it! I also get the reference with the crashed airship

Really good game! Not this easy at all, but I liked it! --and I need some hint for the last secret medal. (PM me, plz)

Just after encountering the blue monster, you hear music and think, well it gets epic ... Unfortunately, you end up hating this part. Because the festival to die impaled on skewers starts here. But the game is funny.
