Reviews for "Trigger Knight"

A real original game

its so fun.

FUN

I liked it but thought maybe you could at least start with the second weapon then level up to the next one would be funner that way I think

Not bad

Since you say it's a test, it's not bad. For a test.
What changes would be useful:
- Get Divine Edge and Gold Voucher out of game, or change way they work. They're completely random, and are pretty much needed to win the game (Voucher suddenly makes you absurdly rich, and Divine Edge is necessary for fighting dragons).
- Mark Dragons differently than other monsters in event queue;
- Add more variety to fight. One-button mechanic begs for some kind of QTE/timed hits idea (see Mardek RPG series for system like that).
- Some kind of HP regen would make game less reliant on luck, too.
- Some plot, maybe?
Despite some flaws, game is still pretty awesome.

Some objective points, some subjective points.

The objective points:

The events are too random. Useless events like running into potion shops when you already have a potion should NEVER occur.

Unwinnable events like running into a dragon BEFORE you have a chance to buy a divine edge should NEVER occur.

The subjective points:

... It's just not my thing, I'm afraid.

I don't like the limited lifespan idea, I'm not a fan of the limited number of items you can carry, and I'm not interested by the one button concept. I also don't like the randomness in general at all, but that's not so much "bad game design" as "game design I'm not interested by", so I list it under the subjective and not the objective component.

The music was pretty awesome, though, so I gave it a 6 instead of a 5.

Great Game!

For those who wonder, it's not (Entirely) your score that determines whether you get 100% game completion. To achieve that, you must have your armor AND weapon maxed out, while collecting the achievements in game. The achievements are:
- Slay a Dragon (Use the Divine Edge, it's much easier)
- Stashed 3000 Gold (Having 3000 in your pocket)
- Reach day #10
- Get all collection (Getting all the upgrades)
- Perform 70 000+ Damage (Mostly, stay alive long enough and you'll get this)
I'm not quite sure if there's an ending to the game (Like a cinematic or something) or if you just keep running until you die.
And a little tip: Only buy an Elixir if you don't have the money or the occasion to buy an Armor Upgrades, because those replenish your life bar as well.
