Reviews for "Trigger Knight"

Logic dictates that shouldn't be all that fun...

Logic is wrong.

Great concept!

Loved the one button thing. Played this obsessively till competition. Good job!

The only qualm I have, however, is that a bit too much is left up to luck, rather than skill.

Addicting as heck!

This has to be one of my favorite flash games on newgrounds. The sprites look great, but the menu screens look a little poorly done. The game is a little random and makes it fairly hard to beat. If it's possible to beat... I enjoyed fighting to get my score up, which I plan on getting to the top even if it takes me a couple of days. I would love to see this game made into a full game!

Just curious, how far has everyone gone? I can only manage to get to day 14. I have to either get divine edge, or pour all of my gold tickets into weapons and armor to kill him if that doesn't appear. Stupid goblin had to kill me >.>

Fine

Fun for a while, pretty addicting too

Well now...

After being an avid fan of Super PSTW Action RPG, I figured, meh, why not? So my expectations were understandably not exactly high.
Imagine my surprise when I play this game.
This game is an enthusiastic run through plains of enemies and helpful shops with as much skill as luck required. The player has one button, which is used for a variety of actions. The primary role of the player is deciding whether or not to buy the next upgrade, but it is a very important role to be able to master.
The gameplay is very simple. There is a bit of a learning curve of learning what everything does (somethings are no brainers, others require a bit of gumption), but after grasping the mechanics, it becomes a grind, to get that next armor level, or weapon level, or that inevitably late lifebar upgrade. It gets particularly frustrating when there's an elixir in your inventory and the next three stops are elixir vendors, but this is a fortunately a rare event.
The visuals are nice, and never seems to chop out. The player will find their eyes straying to the health and life bars more often than looking at the main visuals, but it is still a very pleasing, polished appearance.
The replayability is high in this game. To get further is not as important as getting all the upgrades, and once that happens the replayability becomes slightly low (after all, you've already completed the game), but this is conveniently difficult.
The story...um...nevermind.
I recommend this game wholeheartedly. There is very little issue in this game, and for only using one button, it is a surprisingly integrating experience.
