Reviews for "Trigger Knight"

A fantastic game!!!! Simple but challenging

Beautifully simple, and it keeps all its fun points strong. But that dragon causes a lot of rage! I loved it and it was very fun to play, its good to see that you can be so creative and use a one-button mechanism so well!

The music was fine fit the game well and the sounds effects were suitably cliché. The graphics also suited the game with its simplicity but also were close to perfect in their own way.

Thank you for entertaining me for 30 minutes (^_^)

The game is a fast as it is fun. The "only one click to play" is very well done making it incredibly dinamic. I also love the music.
The only downpoint is the absolute randomness of the encounters and attacks, when you are totally maxed and you pick a fight with a dragon you have about a 50% chance of winning or losing.

First off id like to say that this game is very "pure" in a sense that the animations are smooth and the content style is graphically consistent with a recognizable style which really makes the game something you can remember.
The game has a relatively short learning curve but just takes too long for someone to just pick up and play and actually feel they are conquering a difficult task with skill, for me that is the main issue with the game although it is overcome by spending a few minutes just getting down the "flow" of when to spend money and timing your attacks concisely. Timing of attacks is critical which is the whole basis of the game from my standpoint, an RPG that is not conquered by senselessly grinding up levels, rather a skill based game with character development to reward those who have mastered the fine timing and elegant risk management.

What you can expect as a player:
arena based progression with straightforward character development. Addictive and frustrating at times, but all in all a game i would recommend.

To the developer:
"good games are easy to learn and hard to master", the timing is simply too fine for attacks without a clearer display of when your attacks are available again, perhaps a colour coded bar that progresses over half second intervals displaying the status of your attack so that fine timing your attacks to disrupt a mobs attacks are easier.
a lot of people are saying the actual stats of mobs are unbalanced however i think it is perfect, or it would be if you could disrupt their attacks more effectively, some indication of an attack reset as i mentioned is my spin on that but everyone thinks they have the best idea anyway haha.

Incredibly impressive game with notable caliber considering the size of the game. Great game

Alright game could be better.
Like each time you level up you get more starting gold at least 10 gold + per level.
The game is luck based you need to get the gold ticket earlier and have coins to buy it and have enough life to survive since gold ticket uses item slot. Also you need enough life to survive till you can get armor or hp potion upgrade. In the end I manage to get the strongest weapon and armor in the game but still the dragon killed the strongest weapon in game barely hurt him the only way to beat him is having an item especially divine edge. In the end you can not heal anymore from upgrading armor so the only way is getting potion but if you buy potion then you can not have a divine edge without divine edge dragon kills you even if you have strongest armor and weapon..
